vcm 1 stopped working after software update

happened to my co-workers vcm 1 also. is this fords way of making you buy vcm 2?

Hmm I used the shops VCM 1 the other day before the update. I'll try it on Monday and see if it works.

Mine bit the dust about a year ago. The lights are on but nobody is home.

I keep a working vcm1 for use on older vehicles. If you get the message that vcm2 was not tested with this vehicle, certain functions may not work (old navigator air suspension, for example). It is still functioning after 94 was installed.
