  1. Or find a Ford tech close to you who can order you one. I think a tech can bill them to a credit card.
  2. Now that I didn't hear yet. But my fse told me this week that there is a new vcm coming out next year that has the vmm built into it. The only issue is that it's supposed to cost $3000 to $4000.
  3. What a rush. Definately worth the trip.
  4. But you only check them for being stuck open if you do it as the directions tell you.
  5. I gave up and bought a whole gauge set from the Snap-on man a couple of years back.
  6. Fusions seem to be the big one by us that stick shut. Had that one F150, but all the rest were on Fusions. The other guys in my shop have both had a couple recently too.
  7. So apparently they split it into 2 groups. The first starts tomorrow. The second starts on Sunday. I fly out in the AM to be a part of the first group. I don't think I'm gonna sleep much tonight. Way to excited.
  8. I wonder how strict they are on their "buisness casual" dress code.
  9. The extractors are meant to take the place of heating the bleeder to get it loose. We see lots of bleeders stuck on perfectly good calipers.
  10. The rear end question got me last month.
  11. Did you test the power and grounds under load? I got burned by 2 strands left of a wire on a cummins is a sterling last year.
  12. My current service manager informed me today that we are gonna start selling brake system flushes as part of our regular maintenance items. I am worried about getting bleeders open. About 10 years ago a previous BG sales rep told me about a shop on the other end of his route that had a kit that had a pin that you pounded into the bleeder and it was supposed to make it easier to get it out. After asking one of my tool dealers about it and getting little more than a blank stare I did a quick internet search. I came up with a couple of different kits. My question is do these things actually work and are they worth the $60 or $70? And who's kit is everyone else using?
  13. I spend way too much time over there. Rear leaf springs on my 2000. A much better picture than what was previously posted.
  14. Ok. Then how did you load the bosch software first?
  15. That is a very interesting thought. Do you really think the oil leak is being caused by under-torque from the factory and not the guy at the factory setting the heads on a rail as Ford claims?
  16. Keith where did you get the bosch software seperatly from?
  17. Number 1: That's not me. Number 2: When you have multiple axles it is highly recommended to chain the other axles to the frame to protect the shocks and other suspension components.
  18. I got a buddy who has them in his shop. He has the Mohawk brand ones rated at 18k per post. They work great as long as you don't have to take a wheel off. Then you gotta have big enough tall jack stands to set the frame on.
  19. Pure curiosity.... Why the #4 injector if you found a shorted harness?
  20. The speedo is gonna be correct after the gear swap because it uses wheel speed sensors instead of using the oss on the transmission. The bigger question is gonna be if the truck cares that the calculated gear ratio is different that what it's got programmed.

  22. I put dummy plugs in my 6.0 after work. And I got the cab off a 2010 F150 for the second junk motor in 10,000 miles.
