There seems to be alot of sensors with no directions for changing them.

I got an 08 6.4 with a front cover leaking, a 14 escape trans that I can't seem to fix and neither can hotline. Outside I got an 04 6.0 with a popped egr cooler, an 08 F-550 that is supposedly in derate, an 05 6.0 with a supposed popped egr cooler and I just looked at an 08 6.4 with a messed up fuel system, it can't control the high pressure fuel properly.

2007 f-350 abs bleed
forddieseldoctor replied to robp823's topic in Tools, Computers and the Internet
If you lost fluid the abs will not give you a shitty pedal. Dumb question... Which end of the caliper is the bleeder on? Top or bottom? -
I drive a 2000 F-250 crew cab short box. I currently have a 2003 F-350 supercab long box sitting in my driveway that is in the process of making scrap out of it. Does anyone know how big of a pain mounting the long box 38 gallon tank in place of the 27 gallon short box tank would be? I would love to have the extra 11 gallons of fuel.

It's sad, sick, and disturbing. But I see more and more trucks hacked together or the people don't wanna spend the money to get it diagnoised properly. And they all blame Ford. Even though they can't and won't maintain the stupid things properly.

Way cleaner exhaust after delete removal...
forddieseldoctor replied to 66glide's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Isn't fuel delivery and timing based on oil temperature? This thing must have some funky fueling issues when it's hot. I believe it does. I had the resistor for testing the ficm installed and had to move it about 10 feet. It ran like absolute shit. -
It's the simple shit that hurts the hardest. Loose ground cable on a 99 E-350 ambulance. Was dropping battery voltage just enough to keep the pcm in the dark while cranking from time to time.

We did a handful for the codes, but we've done way more of theirs for being cracked. It seems to be 14's only. It's kinda cool. The whole area around the crack turns this powder yellow color. Makes the crack easy to see with a mirror.

Don't ever assume that all pneumatic hydraulic pumps are created equal. Always double check conversions between metric and american units. Long story short I managed to order a pos pump that is only half the capacity that we need for our trans jack. It made 2 partial cycles before it quit pumping.

We've had a rash of 3.7 Police Utility vehcles that have had cracked manifolds. It seems to be both front and rear. We don't know if they are actually leaking bad enough to smell in the body or not. The guy who does maintence on this fleet is a pain in the butt and he looks for every little thing he can warranty, but as soon as it's out of warranty we will never see it again. But anyway they seem to be cracked on the bottom side of the manifold and the only way to see them is with a mirror. Once they are out you can see light through the crack. We've done a dozen or so of them and one in one of the Police Sedan. Anyone else been seeing this?

God I hope not.

I was in an 07 xl F-250 with a 5.4. It had an hour meter too.
-
I know all of the gassers in the superduty's from 11 and up have them. And they have the idle hour meter too.

The problem isn't just in the skilled trades. The problem is everywhere. My wife works at a gas station and they can't get anyone who wants to work there. They keep hiring people, but they don't wanna do their jobs, and just wanna sit on their butts all day so they end up having to let them go. No one wants to do anything that involves physical labor anymore,

No Start, Low ICP
forddieseldoctor replied to forddieseldoctor's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Put the pump in it today and it's down the road. -
Some people are too stupid to waste time trying to help. If they can't read the directions enough to help themselves I ain't gonna waste my time.

No Start, Low ICP
forddieseldoctor replied to forddieseldoctor's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
I didn't come up with anything 100% conclusive. I dragged it this morning and air tested it through the icp sensor hole. I pulled the oil filter out and left it for about a half hour before I closed the ipr and I didn't find any air coming out of the filter housing. I then put the icp sensor back in and cranked it over with just 1 injector plugged in, then I unplugged that one and switched to one of the new ones and got the same results. We ordered a high pressure pump. -
Is that reflash tsb for that code for pickups only?

No Start, Low ICP

That was kinda the conclusion I came to tonight as I thought about it a little more after clearing my head. We shall find out tomorrow. -
Yep. I saw your name on the list. The points came out and I missed 2nd by 1 point. But oh well I finished 3rd and that's good enough for the trip.

I got an late 04 F-550 with 120,000 miles on it. Had a P2290 stored in it. It's been siting outside for about 24 hours. When I crank it I get between 500 and 600 of ICP pressure and the ipr stays at 85%, but it will not start. It sounds like it's trying to, but won't. If I remove the FICM relay the icp builds normally (I saw up to 2200 psi) and the ipr starts backing down. I put the FICM relay back in and started unplugging injectors 2 at a time. I've been through all 8 injectors and can't get the icp to build enough to let it start. I currently have the back 4 cylinders unplugged and it still won't build icp. Recent history indicates that we replaced injectors 1,4 and 8 back in June of 2015. I'm planning on dragging it inside in the morning and unplugging the 5 old injectors and seeing what happens. I don't suspect a pump because of the fact that it builds pressure like normal with the ficm relay out, plus the icp is steady while it's pumping. All the hpop's that I've replaced where always had really jaged icp on the dataloger. Anyone have any thoughts?

Run of Bad P/S Pumps
forddieseldoctor replied to Keith Browning's topic in Body, Chassis and Electrical
I had a 14 or 15 superduty the other day with a weak pump. -
Not an electric over hydralic dump?
