  1. Quote: our service department will be open on Sundays You my friend, are starting to receive some bad karma. It all can be traced back to your avitar, and things will only get worse as long as you temp your fate with such goings on.
  2. Quote: You may get "brownie points" Speaking of which....happy b-day Bruce.
  3. The suits are spelled out in documents 09m01 09m02 09m03 59m21 59m22 and 59m23. They are too large for me to put up in this post but those numbers can get you in the right direction if you hit up a Ford dealer. As far as lot rot goes, the van sat in the back corner of the ambo lot for a flat tire, inspection failure, burned out headlight or whatever, it sat a whole month and nobody started it or moved it 15 feet. They just abandoned this poor thing cause they got a bunch of 10's in. Then someone decided to get it back on the road and boom. Hey it could happen.
  4. Quote: He been doing that for a while.... From what I understand it is a real blast... Yes he has, but I finally got the green light to make a formal announcement. As far as work goes, they keep telling him to sloooow down. I could get into a job like that. I asked if they were hiring and he said yes. But I then decided it was too far of a commute and besides that I don't speak Canadian! He said the language barrier is easy just say "eh" alot and "fuckall".
  5. Well, another dealership has lost a damn good tech. I am talking about none other than Big Angry Hillbilly himself Mr. Aaron Robertson. I talked to him last night and he said he had had enough of Ford's shite and he is now wrenching for these fellas: Stryker Armored Vehicles
  6. I can guarantee you it won't be retail, there is a class action law suit that has bumped the longevity of the warranty into ridiculous numbers. Sounds like a classic case of "lot rot" and the valve hung open for a bit too long.
  7. Ford did away with removing evap shraders and said the new valves can be damaged if you try to remove them, so I wouldn't bother with it.
  8. Same here, it took about a minute and a half to do the hands on. The teacher would actually get frustrated if guys were working on the truck for more than 5 minutes.
  9. Quote: I dare not speak his name Looks like Alex Bruene to me, at least that's what the name says above the avitar.
  10. Quote: I was actually hesitant to post this due to the risk of sounding like a hack YOU'RE A HACK! Just kiddin', don't ever be afraid to post somethin on here. Some will agree and some wont but if you don't share then nothin' happens.
  11. DUDE, you gotta change that frickin' avitar, that things really creepin' me out. Everytime I see it I think Keith let that goof ball join up I avoid pulling 6.4 cabs at all costs, so your not alone on that.
  12. Quote: PCMs are a low failure rate on these But if someone piggy backed a chip on it.......
  13. Whoa there fella, you gotta cash that check before you can count it.
  14. Gonna have to bear with me for a minute here, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this idea. Don't pay no never mind to them arrows in this photo. But looking at the photo, I am trying to figure out how a leaking secondary cooling system at any point and especially at or near the bottle (which is closest to the air box) could allow the air intake system to pull air born antifreeze into itself and wreak havoc. At any rate I would be more concerned about a leaking cooling system first rather than a skewed maf reading. Just thinking out loud, I have heard and read some very odd things concerning diagnosis of these new engines. Trying to take it all in (weed it out) and catalog it for future ref.
  15. Did the same as Keith before I left tonight and then flashed a 6.4. Worked as intended and I was a happy camper.
  16. If we screw up at the mountain, we have to buy everyone in the shop beer. PBR usually wins out, that shit is cheaper than water around here.
  17. I heard about this on the news Friday and the site had 20 million hits in 1 week!!!!!
  18. Ford sent all the dealers this tool and it works great for removing stubborn standpipes, but I have never tried it with the rail still in place.
  19. As sure as the sun will rise and set, there will be another one to fill your bay.
