  1. If those pans are still off and the crankshaft is turned then the pump is turning and it damn well better be pulling a suction on the passage going into the front cover, no? If not it's time to pull those gears back out and have a look see and then "pack" 'em.
  2. The problem is circled on the front of the grille.
  3. Worn track bar bushings give all sorts of nightmarish handling problems on these chassis', they have to be torqued wicked tight also.
  4. It took some doin, but I finally found them photos.
  5. You been takin your meds like a good boy?
  6. Quote: 1. What do you think went through this pump? God only knows. Would need a pretty thorough tear down to see any damaged parts, I would think. 2. Is it related to the oil pressure problem? I would think this thing should get oil at least to the filter housing, no? I mean it's a straight shot out of the pump to the oil cooler/filter base. That is provided the pick up tube isn't completely clogged with something and the regulator isn't fubared, with a 75 psi spring, I doubt it though. I had a U-haul van with a 7.3 that did the same thing, basically. Ended being a pickup tube full of paper. evidently some disgruntled employee thought he would get revenge on the company by stuffing the oil pan with paper on it's last oil change. I guess he wasn't aware that the engine just shuts off with lack of oil instead of grenading. That was a fun one to figure out.
  7. Quote: New pump won't prime Were the gears "packed" during installation to aid in priming? Or were they assembled "dry"?
  8. Lost count on how many of them damn zipties that are on injector harnesses that I have found in oil pans. Trucks seem to have run fine, just rotted out oil pans.
  9. Them bacterial mocrobes are somethin else. You really gotta watch out if you are working on a flood car. This dude was workin on a car and had his arm inside the door panel and got a tiny knick (we've all been there). The next day he didn't feel so good. Three days later he was dead. It seems the car was from a Katrina type flood situation full of nastys from shit, piss, and blood infested waters.
  10. Quote: a cylinder head set it doesn't come with the head gasket you have to order them and the head bolts seperate. That makes complete fucking sense. I wouldn't expect anything less from Ford.
  11. You don't need any high dollar extra diag equipment when you've got this website! the diagnostic 8 ball
  12. Am I reading this correctly that you are running USED trans fluid? Exactly how used is it? We drain some nasty stuff out of transmissions around here, I don't want to even get it on the floor, much less run it thru a $300+ fuel pump and filter and $300 fuel injector.
  13. Seems like you gotta double post thing happenin' here.
  14. Oh let's see, first thing I would suggest is to run. Second, I wouldn't accept anything but cash from this customer and preferably up front. Seriously, you don't know how the lights operated before the fire, right? This could have been going on to begin with, no? I seem to remember there being a couple of different door ajar switches for 1 year model that were not interchangeable. This caused many problems at one time and gave us and the parts department fits. If this guy is willing to burn down his truck to get out of it, how much is he willing to pay at dealer rate to fix interior lights? What happened to the good old fashioned parking your vehicle in a bad part of town with the windows down and catching a taxi out of there?
  15. I understand, I don't want to be in the back of an ambulance broke down on the side of the road.
  16. Quote: Spind so much that it will prime the oil filter pad That must be a Southern term.
  17. Got ya beat, I spin it 16 times. Seriously, I leave the glow plugs out and watch each valve set open and close. Spind so much that it will prime the oil filter pad.
  18. Last one I had, got it out with a plasma cutter........<crickets>....... I shit you not.
  19. Looks like the South finally decided to share some of that snow. Working on a foot and a half in my yard now.
  20. My weekend job depends on that stuff. Actually, our whole community depends on it. If it ain't snowin', poeple ain't plowin', if they ain't plowin', they ain't gettin' paid, and then they ain't spending money.
  21. I have a known good vgt solenoid and that was swapped in and it fixed the surge on the truck with the wave form on page 1.
  22. Here is a screenshot of a 07 sicko with a pronounced surge that had a faulty turbo. There aren't too many info pids shown but the vgt versus map tells you everything you need to know.
