What is going on?They say they tested this engine for thousands and thousands of miles on dyno and under real world driving conditions.Not enough time to to resolve these issues before releasing to public?I want the new engine to be better for Ford customers.We cannot afford to lose any more market share.

Foundleak to be coming from rear engine cover.Decided to replace cover,but found out there is a national backorder on this part.is there a problem with these covers I don't know about?Thanks

Thanks for your suggestions and help.I think the bedplate may be leaking.Shop manual states to remove engine and mount on stand which we do not have.Guess I'm having to learn the hard way like so many others.

Hi,Can someone enlighten me on their methods of verifying where oil leaks are coming from.I have one now that leaks from the right rear of engine,this is a 6 liter,and comes out around the back of the starter where the rear engine cover and block meet.This truck has already been worked on 4 times for leak concern.The other tech replaced rear main seal,valve cover gaskets ,twice,and replaced glow plug harnesses.I contacted hotline and they suggested starting at top.I replaced hpop seal,turbo return pipe orings and oil cooler gasket.This leak is vey slow and takes several miles to show up.I am new at this,and need some expert advise.How would you determine the difference of a t-joint leak as to say a block leak?I have cleaned this engine very well and try to observe leak,but cannot find source.Thanks for any help.

now clicks on every injector,but sets hard fault for every injector.this sounds like ficm to me

Hi Guys, have this 2004 6.0 f-250.Customer states just quit while at highway speed.Towed in.Crank no start.Has po263 and 272.There is a ssm concerning test p which is asking for some test on ficm curcuits.Thought I would run a buzz test just for kicks.Wow! First stage all buzz or click except number 4.Next round only five injectors click,Then a somewhat long pause and misses almost all.Test results passed injector test.Have fuel pressure.Has any one run into this before?Did look for chaffing,but found none.Thanks

Left the right side battery terminal loose on 03 f250 6.0.When you do this,ground for vacuum hub locks vacuum solenoid goes to crap.Customer returned not so happy.

What would you guys say is your percentage of warranty as to customer pay tickets?

How often do you guys find trash in tanks stopping up screen.I just got thru with one that had something that looked like candy,maybe even sweettarts,part of which had broken up and clogged the pickup.Truck would run cold,but drive a couple miles and it would die.By the way,I have only been doing diesel work for a couple of months,and I only have web based training and on the job experience under my belt.I have beed a Ford tech for 6 years.Thanks

Can someone please explain why installing aftermarket chips causes this code to set.Also.I have seen many chips cause poor running or stalling when engine warm.Thanks
