  1. what will happen if I don't pay the renewal fee for my vcm.It says it expires with the next new release.Can i continue to use it if I don't.I do not have that kind of money ,as times are tough now.

  5. Have a 99 chevy 1500 with v8.Seems to be leaking from top back side of engine.Seem to remember oil pressure sending unit leaking on these,but can't get a good view.Any ideas?
  6. Remember seeing some pictures somewhere showing cab off removal on 6.0 van.I have an 07 regular cab diesel van that needs valve cover removal and possible stg leaking.Will start fairly well cold but hot will only build 350 psi icp.Do you think it is worth the trouble to remove cab for this?
  7. Yes .They said would pay as long as one bolt removed at a time.I was instructed to install liquid thread sealant on bolts and tighten to 30 ftlbs,then one 90 degree turn
  8. The six bolts in the end of the back of the crankshaft were leaking.Found this out from an enginneer.
  9. No .they say pressure past turbo seals goes into crankcase.Checked cac tube no leak.This is definitly from rear main seal
  10. Truck is back.Still leaking badly now from rear bell housing area.Ramped vgt and ran at 4 grand rpm.Could not feel any crankcase pressure.Hotline states turbo shaft seal can leak pressure down and in turbo drain tube causing pressure to build up.Anyone had this happen?
  11. Let this thing run for hours.tried the pressure thing to no avail.never saw anything.There was no unusual flop in flywheel.Thanks for the suggestions.Did clean everything very well and added plenty of oil dye to new oil.Maybe can figure this out one day!

Have an 06 250 6.0 with a hard to find oil leak.Have replaced everything left here and rest done at another dealership.Is no leaking from top or bedplate.Have a small leak at bottom of bell housing.Remove trans and check.nothing running down from rear main,but it sure is on the bottom of the rear engine cover.any ideas.
  13. Had one at a dealer down the road that the camshaft broke on.They gave that guy a new truck from what I heard.
  14. Michelins are the way to go.They will last and not cup and feather due to their manufactoring process.
  15. I drink heavily.It doesn't ease the pain,but I do it anyway.Anybody else out there work for autonation Dealer.If you do,I feel your pain!

Had an 05 excursion come in complaining of coolant loss.Also had a complaint of intermittent no start.Found egr cooler and oil cooler ok but head gaskets wiped.This thing has a banks controller,banks pipes,banks everything.Well I guess that means nothing to prior approval!After completeion of head gaskets,Had a no start one Time.Cut off key and then started right up.Gave back to customer.Drove 9 miles and quit.At first I had no codes,Monitered all pids.everything looks good.Take full sample.not sure if good,so I run hose off of pump right into known good fuel.no start.Damn!After a while of capturing samples on ids.ran eec test.Found a p0341.Now go to check for rust concerns,change cam sensor run pinpoint test.wiring checks out.says replace pcm.That did no good.Now when I moniter pids.my crank pid always good ficm sync on and off on and off.What the hell try ficm no change from that.Hotline tells me to do everthing I already have.What the hell!

We were told today in 6.7 class that there will soon be no more E series vans made.They will be replaced by the larger transit vans,kind of like a sprinter van,will be the replacement.These vans are sold in europe with a four cyl diesel.Over here they are not sure what powerplant it will receive.Yea I know,it breaks my heart to.I will miss them so much.Ha Ha

This is my personal vehicle.The overdrive servo is leaking.I found a tsb concerning replacing the cover with a revised cover.It also says to remove the valve body and do some other things inside,which I am not certain of.Why can't the cover just be replaced?Any input would be appreciated.It's a 2002 ranger with a 3.0L
