After Hours stress Relievers
DwayneGorniak replied to DwayneGorniak's topic in Tools, Computers and the Internet
Yup Yup. It made me realize just how many folks out there did not know about this wonderful concoction of spice, alcohol and mix that has been a Canadian favorite for a long long time. I bet Jim was weaned from the tit as a baby right onto these. And Jim, I said "FOUR OR FIVE HOURS" not four or five drinks. Caesars go down like water for me as they do for you. I am always amused with the fact that you find all this funny crap on the internet. Good shit though. -
Ahhh yes Jim. But don't you sometimes mention that Old methods sometime work real well and why mess with perfection or something along that line? And sometimes all this new theory and bullshit is sometimes perfected with old methods or something along that line again? I don't know man, I'm all for change as you well know. But I do believe that sometimes old methods just work real well. I guess this is where we are all a bunch of little guinea pigs in this big world and we find the balance with trial error or better known to Ford as research and development. I think lately in this automotive technological world we have tried a shitload of change only to find out in some (not all) cases that Old sometimes still works really well.

Sounds allot like a Canadian version of the Village people.

Scorpion or Power Stroke?
DwayneGorniak replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Or Power Choke. But yeah. It's too bad they had to tarnish the original name that identified the 7.3L. I find myself not wanting to wear anything in public that displays the Powerstroke Name. But if it were something that just displays 7.3L, no one ridicules you for that. -
Scorpion or Power Stroke?
DwayneGorniak replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Before I ended up here in Slave Lake, I was talking with a Powerstroke Rep that used to come around to Fourlane the odd time. He said that the "Powerstroke" Branded title was a joint title between Ford and Navistar to recognize the Ford engine and that the new Scorpion title is Ford's new identity title for the new Ford built diesel engine. He had said that they want to get away from all of bad publicity and hype that Navistar has given them with the Powerstroke branded title. The original 7.3L Powerstroke was extrememly famous for all the right reasons. But the Six liter had in no time totally branded the Powerstroke title with an embarrassing reputation for being the biggest piece of junk since the Ford Pinto. So from what the Ford Powerstroke Rep had told me, Scorpion is the new name of the engine. Let's just hope that this engine doesn't wind up being junk like we've seen for the last six years. -
Yes, this is the original Canadian Flag. Jim educated me and quite a few others at work all about it. It was the original Flag before the whining French losers complained about the Union Jack on the flag. Don't forget that the British kicked the snot out of the French and liberated this country. What I find sad, is the fact that Jim had to educate myself and many others on the history of our Flag. They didn't teach us crap in school about this. I find that extremely sad because I find myself at age or 36 now trying to learn about history on websites like Wikipedia. Here is a little history about the flag for ya all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Red_Ensign Oh yeah, and happy birthday English Canada. The original Canada that could speak to each other without wanting to separate.

I am throwing this out there before you folks down south enjoy your July 4th long weekend. Here is a great Canadian drink for you all that is my all time personal favorite and just freakin awesome for relieving the stress. I know Jim loves them too. I think you should all try it especially on your long weekends. Here are a couple of links: http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink1352.html and http://www.facebook.com/home.phpref=logo#/CanadasNationalCocktail?ref=mf . Things like this are more important to us folks up here than politics. Politics just gets everyone's shit tied in a knot and things like this will definitely help untie that knot. Ennnjjjjooooyyyy! Warning: After four or five hours of these, your knees will go wobbly.
-
There is an ole' rule of thumb: Big or small, thick or thin, Vaseline will get it in. Oh and It's not the width of the prick that does the trick, it's the throb of the knob that does the job. I guess after Jim's cleaning method, the ole knob would definitely throb.
-
Stock up some Prep-H Jim. I feel me ole' ars cheaks quivering allready. Be afwaid, be vewy vewy afwaid. As for the head cleaning procedure, I totally agree with Jim and the earlier statement: Why mess with success?
-
Correct. We were supposed to use a plastic scraper before. And no I'm not kidding.
-
Just a poll. How is everyone making out with the new revised head gasket cleaning procedure?
-
I've seen that unit. Great deal.
-
I didn't realize they had no hard drives like that. Kinda sucks. And I definitely do love my 15.4 inch screen.

I found my Alberta plate off my old Aspire. I'll send it your way. I take it you have a polar bear plate, right?
-
I have seen allot of these mini laptops from Acer, HP, etc. Most of them have XP on them. If I was to buy a new laptop right now to be an IDS, I would definitely look at one of these units. There are just so darn nice and portable and definitely priced right. Great little units IMHO. And they won't use up much space in the tool box.

Before I came to this dealership, we switched from 15W40 to 10W30 in the winter and then back to 15W40 in the spring. Myself, I still believe in 15W40 in the summer especially if towing. If a customer is just a grocery getter, then I say use 10W30 all year round. Here we are now overheating the bejesus out these oil coolers and seeing them explode so regularly and it seems to me that the trend of running 10W30 more and more across the North American continent is contributing to oil cooler failures. The customers I used to have that ran 15W40 didn't have oil coolers issues like I see now. Now we also have new PCM strategies that kick the cooling fan in sooner than previously. My opinion is that these engines need all the help that they can get to protect against thermal breakdown and overheating. And as for cold stiction issues, I would say that there ain't nothin ya gonna do to make these piece of shit injectors any good. I don't see the cold stiction issues any better in this part of Alberta where most folks are running 10W30 as compared to where I was before and most folks ran 15W40. As I've said in other posts, these injectors seem to have a life span of a copper spark plug and I would rather replace injectors than engines, especially if I was an owner of one of these things. There is also that little block heater cord in the front bumper that most folks find to be to much work to plug in. But if they do get lugged in in the cold weather, they actually do work and help these things start. Just my

If you do wind up doing this shit job with Shit parts, I think I would contact Hotline and report the repair to them, just to cover your dealerships ass. I can see it now, Truck makes 3000 to 5000 km's if that, breaks down at another dealership, and the customer says to them: Yeah but the repairing dealership said these parts were warranty approved. And you guys wind up in a great big heaping Fucking mess. I say tell the insurance company to Fuck right off! -
Believe it or not Larry, I wasn't grumpy. Sarcasm is just one of those gifts that I keep on offering free of charge seeing as I have such a stock pile of it in my head.
-
The Warranty Policy Manual is what is written in stone for these specs. I wouldn't listen to Hotline about these specs if they are giving you different numbers than what the WPM states.
-
You're Ford rep is a "GREAT BIG FUCKING IDIOT"! If your customers can provide their maintenance records, then there should be no argument. And if you slap Ford's own maintenance interval specs in your Rep's face, he won't even be able to argue the point. Ford is their own worst enemy by increasing and stretching these fuckin maintenance intervals to what they have. Fuck, these injectors have a replacement interval like old fuckin copper spark plugs. Once again, I'm a gonna wait fer sum more opinions.
