Pretty soon the governments will have us all walking around with jars and bottling our farts. Anyone seen the episode of Myth Busters where they proved that you can actually bottle your farts? That could be allot of fun. Sneak up behind your coworkers and open up a can of stink ass right under their noses.

Whatever happened to the good ole' technology where you could get either 160 degree F or 185 degree F thermostats? I think these fuckers just cook themselves to death. Too much heat that cant be dissipated quickly enough.

One of our apprentices here just had a Superduty with a 7.3 L that would constantly kick out the AUX Idle Control anywhere form a minute to a couple of minutes after running. VSS was spiking and the PCM would shut down the idle control. Right from the beginning of the job, he had to constantly boost the truck because the batteries were absolutely screwed. He had been in contact with Hotline numerous times and told them about the batteries and suggested changing them. Hotline recommended against it and couldn't see how the batteries would cause the issue. Finally after a new Aux Idle control box and a new alternator and I can;t remember what else, the young lad said to hell with it and threw two new batteries in the truck. And low and behold: MAGIC-it's fixed. Simple electricity is something I "TRY" to never overlook. But we are all human and our job's can sometimes play tricks on our minds. I like the term "CLEAN POWER". I will remember that.

Thanks for posting that Aaron. That article has been in the warranty policy manual for many years. As long as I've been in Alberta anyway. That's almost nine years. It was worded slightly different up untill about a couple to a few months ago.

It is nice to have a free nite once in a while, which would have probably been last nite, right? I haven't slept well lately myself. But beieve it or not, I beieve it is because I haven't had much to drink for a bout a weak. I find I sleep better if I have a couple before I go to bed. OOOOPPPS, highjack again. Back to the topic though. I guess we both agree that the DRR is absolutely useless.

You know, I don't think you will ever have to worry about going to Hell Old Timer, because I don't think the Devil would ever be able to put up with the competition. Just make sure that you cover your ass and give a good reason for removing the oil cooler. You may want to do the coking diag TSB to give yourself justification for looking under the oil cooler. And where it says to verify EOT/ECT correlation of 15 degrees, you will most likely be able to fail it. Just make sure you write a P0404 down on the hard copy. Always always gotta cover your ars.

Yeah, but you just know that some drunken Oil Patch Tard or the lower scum of the Redneck society (drunk as well) is just gonna try pissin in it to see just what happens. I think you a need hearing aid more than I need glasses. Oh, and if you keep looking at the screen through a whiskey glass it will look distorted. What I was getting at was that if someone thinks they have a legitimate issue for a DRR, they could post it under the warranty section of theis website. Then the rest of the members could look at it an decide whether or not that it a good enough DRR. And at that point in time, if alot of us members filled out DRR for that same concern, we may have a slight possibility of having a fighting chance. I didn't intend for Keith to take a fight against Ford. And if you knew about this other website, why the hell didn't you promote it, if you are so gung ho for it? Some of us still have family lives to tend to and don't have as much time to sit in front that screen with a whiskey glass between between the screen and our eyes. I'm just pokin fun back at you. Don't get upset. And for the reason I won't fill out DRR's, it's because I obviously don't have any faith in them. I just thought that Slim's idea was a good one. P.S. Don't you when it's time for bed?

Sounds like another good section for this website of Keith's. I guess we could post DRR issues under the warranty section and see if it catches on.

Yeah, I need more Fuckin Time! As Keith said, I don't think it s worth it at all. It's like banging your head into the wall or pissing into the wind. Jim and I had this conversation this morning and he said that sometimes the DRR can have a negative affect in a way that they could actually slash our times. Allot like the GCR system. GCR=TSB=SLASHED SLTS TIMES=ALLOT LESS FUCKIN MONEY IN MY POCKET. Jim told me this saying a while back: THERE'S NO SENSE IN WRESTLING WITH A PIG BECAUSE YOU ARE BOTH GONNA GET DIRTY AND THE PIG IS ONLY GONNA LIKE IT.

I filled out a DRR on the 6.4L's engine R&I, Front cover R&I, Longblock R&I and Shortblock R&I times. The Jackass that actually does the work for ford in manual labour phoned me and basically told me he can do it the given amount of time and that no-one else has filled out a DRR on this time.

Just wait till these things get some years on them. I have posted about this issue on Protech before as well. One of the major issues is that water migrates down the threads from the top and rusts the hell out of these bolts. I allways use heat, but still have some spin. Nothing like hot water pouring down your friggin forearms. You would think these Jackass Engineers would have learned from that Taurus/Sable subframe recall, But Noooooo. Why would they worry about these issues? They don't have to work on these things.

Good idea. I would try the rescue disc's before replacing the computer. Go to that link I gave you on another computer and download the program to either a USB thumb drive or burn it to a disc. then when you get your aunt to fix it, put the antivirus on the computer right away. -

Do you have the rescue disc's? always have rescue disc's when you buy a computer. I used to to have McAffee and had my computer wiped out by a Virus. been running AVG Free edition by Grisoft. Works great. Here's a link if you're interested: http://www.avg.com/product-avg-anti-virus-free-edition -

Larry, read the other post and I think you will get a better idea of what is going on. I just replied to that one. As I said in that post, I don't think the procedure is the same for everyone right now during these hard economic times.

I don't think the process is the same for everyone. If you get a dickhead warranty Nazi with a bleeding orifice during that time of the month, it almost seems that it doesn't matter what you write, they're gonna shit on you anyway. Not only that, but I think that this R.O. kick back procedure is a mandatory situation right now with Ford to try and stop the company in every single way fro bleeding to death. They are using the Jack The Knife (Jack Nasser) procedure. All we do is re appeal at least once or twice or even three times and they always pay. But they consume so much of our flat rate time that it is getting ridiculous. I think that the Dealer bodies or the D.P's need to stand together and tell Ford to get their shit together and have a standard process of inputs and outputs. But I can't see that happening. It has always been a backstabbing industry. Stick it to the competition, right. If only this industry could stand together and get along like Doctors or dentists. Anywho, more drinks for now to make the day go away.
