  1. There will be a coffee table book. not sure when there still writing service manuals
  2. found out today in class that the F250,350 and 450 with a bed will have the dual boost variable nozzle turbocharger, f450s without a bed and 550 will have a non wastegated single compressor wheel turbo couldnt get a answer why. The sensor in the oil pan is not on production trucks, the ports on oil pan are the feed tube for the oil cooler. Just wait til you see the pid list on the truck its gonna take a very long time to learn them. lots of new terminology on parts. no mufffler on truck very very quiet. also got to see the new 6.2 in a prototype truck, i think it was louder than the 6.7. looks like a 5.4 on steriods. the ids has lots of glitches in software plus no pid for mgp. there will be a coffe table book for this engine, truck has two seperate cooling systems, vacuum pump on front cover of engine driven of hp fuel pump gear.its a beast
  3. oh and the new tourqueshift is a monster goona need a new jack to pull it out capable of handling 1400 ft lbs of tourque, in web course specs were 350 horse and 650 tourque
  4. your right it is missing the second compressor wheel, most F450s and all 550s will not have a wastegate ill ask tomorrow about the single wheel
  5. well i took the web based test today its pretty straight forward, there will be some revisions from the one i took today shouldnt be bad, it was pretty neat we were able to give input on everything about it and there going to take some of our sugestions and use. There are 15 of us taking the class. The web based class will be up Feb 1 with classroom in march. Get a plant tour tomorrow as well any questions post em here and ill see if i can get some answers
  6. ports on front of oil pan will not be there in production asked that question today, secondary fuel filter is replaced as unit, turbocharger is a garret, ill find out about the sensor in the oil pan no mention of it in the web based class and did not see one on the engine we will be tearing down

I have to be at the truck plant Nov 9th to take the web course then when that is over we get a tour of the plant, then nov 10-12 are the classroom days, i know there will be two instructors there taking the the class with us as well. There are two of us from cincinnati going and the rest from indianoplis area. I think i read thirteen of us are taking it.
  11. Nice site i really like it , the training instructor in cleaveland told us about it. Is anyone else here going to the pilot 6.7 class at the Kentucky truck plant in a couple of weeks it should be pretty interesting. Ill hopefully have alot of info to share on it
