  1. Idk. But if someone is and needs something I got it for now.
  2. Oh that piece. I used some square tubing on mine. Something that my buddy had laying around.
  3. 1/4 by 1. And yeah mine is 3/8 course. I'd post pics of my finished project but it won't let me.
  4. Nope. Time for 2nd oil change. Sad but true.
  5. You can come work here. We got way more than we know what to do with.
  6. It always amazes me how much a tie rod will grow when you heat it.
  7. 3 wacks with big hammer is 18. Didn't you learn that in redneck machanics 101?
  8. I managed to acquire and dispose of 3 WDS units a dew years ago. The main units are gone, but I have piles of cables and a handful of discs. My wife wants me to clean up a bunch of crap inthe basement. If anyone wants or needs anything let me know. She wants it gone by the 4th of July.
  9. Points and timing are set. Carb is rebuilt. It runs down the road really good. Now to start on the trans. I found the kickdown linkage was hooked to the wrong spot on the carb. I figured out where it was supposed to be and got it hooked up right, but it still don't kick down.
  10. I got a really dumb question.... if someone welds shut the ends of a ruptured egr cooler won't it continue to leak carbon into the cooling system?
  11. We had a slidehammer adapter at work that looks like a fork. I let it soak overnight and then hit it with that and it popped and now I can turn it.
  12. I think it's something to do with the amount of torque that the motor puts out. Even if you put one of those crossmembers in it's just gonna tear up the next thing in line. Kinda like the frame cross members on semi trucks. The high horsepower trucks tear them out faster.
  13. Anyone got any tips for getting a seized disrtibutor loose? I was trying to adjust timing tonight after playing with the point gap and I can't turn the stupid thing. I had the motor hot and hosed it down with deep creep before I walked away tonight. I haven't gotten around to looking into the trans yet. Got the carb fixed up and been trying to fix a few minor things so I can drive it around some more.
  14. It's a neverstart. They are junk since day one.
  15. Not always. It's a 6.0 anything is possible.
  16. That would be true if his icp was slow to build at times. But he said the icp reaches the desired psi. At least if I understood correctly. My question is: Does sync and ficm sync come up when it starts cranking all the time? What is fuel pressure at when it has the long crank? If sync or ficm sync are not responding normally then you need to use the oscilliscope and do the cam timing test and count the peaks VERY CAREFULLY. You could have a loose crank position trigger wheel.
  17. Are they running a chip? As long as the hpop has the right angle or a greater angle than factory it should be fine. The early 99's had a 15 degree pump and the late 99's switched to a 17 degree pump. If I recall correctly after 97 all the ipr valves are the same. (I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong) The injectors in the early 99 are supposed to be split shots according to the 98-99 coffee table book. If the chamber size is different as long as the nozzles are the same as the original injectors it will never know the difference. The idm will be compatible other than maybe a lower voltage output than what the "blue motor" was designed to run with, but it will run normal. (I've used an idm out of a 97 in an 02 in a pinch and I could not tell the difference and there was no light) I guess if it were in my bay I wouldn't get too worked up over the transplant and I would diagnose it like it was normal. But when it comes down to replacing injectors I would push like hell for a full set so that they all match.
  18. Wtf is a crown and pinion? A great example of subtle cultural differences ; ) ...... You know when work is done for the day I love sitting back on the chesterfield and eating some Kraft Dinner while sipping on a Caesar. I'll just go get a drink from the bubbler.
  19. You should always make sure you have all your possesions before you storm out of a restraunt. Seen a group of 3 people get upset because the restraunt was packed and short staffed get up and storm out and one of them left their purse behind. They had to come back and apoligize to get the purse.
