Happy "Insert Provincially Titled Holiday here"
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Aaron's topic in The Water Cooler
Metric is actually a easy concept. I had a hard childhood growing up being that my mum was Canadian and my father was U.S. I got educated from my mum on metric and had to live with standard measure here. It's unfortunate that more U.S. citizens don't adopt the metric system. I still look at my Blue and see 12 fl oz. and also see 355ml on the labels. I'm sure Aaron or Jim will ring in here on this subject. My work deals mainly with inches and feet in measure of length and torque specs. I really think we need to get up to speed being that the market we deal with is primarily using the metric systems. As for the "holiday" that you Canudian's enjoy, we have some that you don't, and you have some that we don't. That's just life. I'm sure that our neighbors to the south of the border do the same. We just see it more with the north because we deal with each other more than the south. The way I see it...If you can get it, then just enjoy it. -
Iv'e seen this but on the larger trucks. They use the same style stainless lines, they use a plastic liner usually it won't come apart inside, the problem is usually blockages or leaks due to pinching or kinking of the line. The plastic is crimped along with the shield in the hose ends.

I just watched this and after hearing Ted Nugent speak over the years I think this makes the most sense. http://biggeekdaddy.com/miscvideos/TedNugent.html

Do they look like repairable boards or are they silicone sealed? -

Thanks Aaron!!!! I owe you one!!!! I spoke to soon..... This is the response I got back from them......Same as I keep getting.... Hi Lawrence, We are sorry, the part number you requested has been discontinued and is no longer available from GM. You will have to find an aftermarket source for this part. Thanks Floyd, GmpartsDirect.com

I'll be damned if I can find it either. Could this TSB have been superceded or replaced by a newer TSB?

Hey guy's my GM contacts suck around here. Anyone have somebody that will sell parts for a decent price. I'm looking for some GM only fan clutches. The number I'm looking for right now is 2071667 and is fairly expensive. It also has a Eaton number of 16145-3. If the price is right I probably would be interested in 10 of them.

Just wait until they outfit it with a ambulance package.....

Brittle Harness
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Keith, you may want to quote the fan blade and possibly a fan clutch, any blade that is missing parts of the blade is out of balance and putting extreme stress on the clutch. Just a suggestion but one you might consider..... -
Here we are 40 years older and hopefully a little wiser. This week marks a moment in time that changed the world. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/2009-07-19-cronkite-and-space_N.htm

Jim, I understand where your coming from. Thankfully I had the chance to talk at length with my mum over the last year. She outlived what the doctors had told her in regards of her life expectancy, but she knew she was on borrowed time and was ok with it. Over the past 10 or so years I have had 2 divorces and lost 2 of my kids love and respect due to the ex's brainwashing. My mum beat it in to me to either deal with it or drive myself crazy. Guess which choice I made..... Jim I do feel for you and respect and believe we all have something to say to our loved ones before its to late. Thank You.

Scorpion or Power Stroke?
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Quote: Ambulances seem to be on the hit parade due to too much idle time and then too much WOT, or something. ] What we have seen is that when a Ambulance pulls into a hospital they MUST shut down immediately after pulling in. We have had alot of hot shutdown turbo failures, due to the bearings not being allowed to cool down before shutting down. -
Scorpion or Power Stroke?
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Actually have had numerous customers with 6.0's come in and out of warranty actually brag how good their trucks have been. Now mind you these have been 04-05 trucks and have been used in the work place, pulling loads with them they aren't the grocery getters we are used to seeing. I firmly believe that the 6.0 has gotten a bad rep because of the end users using them as a grocery getter and not a work truck, pulling heavy shit and being paid for it. This engine was designed for the bigger trucks and ended up in the F-series. Nav. doesn't have the problems we do?????? -
Keith, after this please lock this thread....If you guys want to give me a short hello or whatever P/M me please. I did exactly what my mum asked and helped my dad with everything. She also asked me to just ignore my ex and kids with the exception of Sean. My mum asked me to keep Sean out of it,(if you have been around you'll know that Sean is the son I didn't know I had), And I did. I just spent a amazing weekend with him and was the first to find out that I will be a Grandpa for the 2nd time. It looks like it will be around next March. I have 3 kids of which within the last 3 years I have had contact with one of them and been disgusted with the other 2. I want my other 2 kids in my life but been educated on the fact that I can't change what they want or need in thier lives. So...Like my SIG. I am therefore I do.
