New FSA warning on customer oil changes
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to OHNO60's topic in FSA - TSB - SSM
+1 If they try to throw it back at you or the customers, you have it in print but.... If FORD changes the required maint. schedule then FORD should be sending out this change to all of the customers, not just changing it and giving them a out to kill or refuse warranty. FORD would never win that battle in court, but would take a while to get there, ie: class action lawsuit, it could take years by then Ford would pay but not as much as covering all of the customers now, some would slip thru the cracks and not make a claim. Thus FORD would get out cheaper an probably blame IH. -

6.4 filled with gas
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Steve Mutter's topic in 6.4L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Hmmm, Used parts..... At our shop used parts are considered the same as customer supplied parts, we will warranty our workmanship but not the parts installed and it is stated very clearly on the work order, of which the customer signs before we touch the vehicle, we have no control over whats brought in the door by the customer whether it be used or new. I/we have no clue where it came from and have no one to go back to if it fails. Most of the time if we do one of these jobs either labor/labour rate or hours goes up to CYA if it comes back. Dwayne, Hows the BBQ chicken and beer???? -
This looks like some thing "Billy Mays" would pitch. http://www.asseenontvvideo.com/Billy-Mays.html All excited about it but wouldn't buy it himself. Watched one last night about green again or some shit like that, basically spray paint for your grass. Like anyone would bite on his bull. Looks like the same kind of bull to me.

7.3 blown fuel filter lid
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Fordtechnician's topic in 7.3L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Check the pressure coming out of the transfer pump. I have seen them go bad and start pulsating and do some crazy shit. Blowing the filter caps off is one of them. -

No more politics....Good call.... We need to look at the big picture, Toyota has jumped in first with built in America commercials bragging about having 10 plants in the USA building cars sold in the US by US citizens for US citizens and not having sent work out of the country. All I keep seeing is jobs going elsewhere to save money to bring more profit and pay high-priced blow dick exec's a bigger bonus for doing it. Chrysler just announced today its restarting a plant, wanna guess which one????Take a look and see if it makes any sense.... http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/19760284/detail.html No sense to me????? Guess where I'm from???? Yep Detroit

6.0L HPOP cover removal with pics.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Brad Clayton's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Brad I for one think this is great. You showed us how you do this job and it gives us all a better perspective on how its done on a real truck with real miles/km not just something some engineer decided to do with a brand new engine, I think all of the pics we get should have rust and dirt and oil on them its real not just a engine on a stand in a controlled enviroment. Thats just for the guys writing the warranty manual. I hope they read this and maybe work on a truck with some mileage on it.....Maybe the times would change..... -
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought we haven't seen as many van failures??? If this has had 4 failures, I'm with Bruce on this, but I would be looking to see if it has been upfitted or possibly been in a accident somewhere down the road also. Sounds like something outside is causing a repeat failure.

Has been a while since we talked on this subject.... Obviously just about everyone here has a good idea what I do for a living. Parts at a indy....Been here for a few years now. Doing quite well and getting busier by the day.(By the way Keith I haven't forgot about you) We launched our new website fanclutch.com. Almost as soon as it went live we started getting hits. Right now I have about a dozen jobs I'm working on. We specialize in obsolete and hard to find fan blade and clutches. The jobs that are worthy of mentioning...I have a 72" fan blade I will be shipping to the U.K. on friday, another 72" blade going to Brazil in 2 weeks and a 36.25 blade I will be shipping to Vancouver tomorrow. I just sent a blade to MHC Kenworth in Kansas city this week to get a guy up and running until his warranty blade comes in from Horton. I pushed my boss for the last 2 years to get this up and running. He now sees what we can do, it's a pretty specialized market and pretty much we are the only ones doing it. Busy??? Yes I am Hope all of you guy's are doing well...

Sorry guy's but had to revisit this one... Has anyone else recieved a similar email? And you might be interested in some of his comments... Hi larryatsti, I just wanted to send everyone an e-mail to say hello and that we would enjoy seeing what you have to say on the web forum. We are also considering setting up private forums for CD members to host the complete Photo CD's and all of our tech info. We have never before considered using this forum as a place for our registered members to access new updates of the CD's as they often get bigger and bigger as the years roll by. If you are not a CD Member we still want to help and welcome you to re-vist our forum. MERCEDES-BENZ W126 MEMBERS We are currently running a sale for CD and Forum members that runs from June 09 - July 09. If you follow our E-bay sales you should have noticed the drastic price cuts made. The good news is that you can save EVEN MORE! Feel free to drop us a line if you are looking for any parts. We have recently taken in three new parts cars. One is a Black on Black 560 SEL (1990) and the other is a Smoke Silver on Red 420 (SEL) and yet another is the White on Red 420 SEL (1987). Parts are moving fast and we are getting ready to list up parts from the three vehicles above. GM LT1 350 CORVETTE - CAMARO - TRANS AM MEMBERS We have recently lowered the cost of the photo CD to $9.99 with free shipping in the USA. While I know the CD has cost more in the past we have sold so many world wide that we have decided to run the CD for half price on thru till the end of 2009. In 2010 we should have the complete performance engine overhaul on VIDEO! We recently finished the recording of a complete overhaul and is currently being re-sized and organized. Its going to take some time to render it all given the nearly three hours worth of video; however you can visit the web forum to see parts of the video as early as September. As Always, we cannot keep LT1 parts in stock to save our lives. As fast as we get them they sell, however we are offering some VERY good deals on performance engine overhauls on e-bay with 420HP short blocks starting at $1999.99 on thru our classic LT4 clone $3800 and also our 500 HP stroker for $6400. Cheers, SELLC www.autotrend.us www.benzworld.us www.126world.com www.sellc.us (734)358-7050 And this one is what he has said... As usual Pogo is MIA, HillBilly is changing parts and the rest of the crew is baffled. Guess this means that Ill have to show you guys how its done once more. 1997 FORD F250 w/ 351W Gasoline - No Start - No Crank...thread Sorry guys....
