  2. Quote: can't think of where plastic chunks would come from Has the surge tank been replaced recently? I have seen some flashing material from the injection molding still on new tanks. Or another thought...What brand oil filter is on this engine? and have you cut it in half and inspected the contents?

  8. Quote: It actually wasn't Jim. It was one of his peers. If it were Jim, I would have left his name in there. We all know he is far from innocent. I could tell just by the tone it wasn't Jim and the length of the post said something as well, I'm usually good for bout 2 Barley pops on his posts.
  9. Quote: James Warman B6264 S.L. FORD SALES LTD. SLAVE LAKE , AB posted Jul 08, 2008 1:21AM Ralph... you're still a wiener Good catch Jeff, I didn't see that until you just made that comment. So much for Jim keeping the names out of it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
  10. I'm not 100% positive but I believe that those series trucks were only designated by F-1,F-2,F-3,F-4,F-5 and so on depending on the size of the truck, unless they were cabover's which were C-CF-CT designations. Nice touch adding Jim to the post /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif I know this gets a little off this topic but check it out, Mercury trucks...pretty cool http://www.wingedmessenger.net/Trucks.htm

  21. Well you knew it would only be a matter of time for this to happen. This company used to E&L transport and then changed their name to PTS about 2ish years ago. Used to be a really good customer then fell right off on repairs and maintenance.

  24. Okay guys pickup up a 96 Taurus with the 3.0 4v. Bad head gaskets....Decided after I seen the post that Keith put up to go out and buy a can of the miracle cure to test before ripping it apart. Did exactly as stated on the bottle ran for the time specified and shut down the way it says to. Will take a chance and drive it in to work about 65 miles should be able to see pretty quick if it works, will run it as long as I can like this before tearing it down. Stay tuned....
  25. Diesel is a lubricant, ULSD is not, They have removed the sulphur to the point that diesel is now really dry and actually scrubs down everything it comes in contact with. The HPCR systems are having a lot of problems with this fuel. It's a good thing that they have came out with the lubricity additives for the systems it will save you that 3000-5000 to replace injectors and pumps that are being killed by this newer fuel. I sell a ton of these additives especially when we get one in on the hook.
