  1. JIM!!!!! I never had the opportunity to meet the man... but he managed to teach me that all I can measure are those things that I am given the opportunity to measure....but there are ever so many things I do NOT have the opportunity to measure. But this doesn't mean that things will be equal throughout whatever system is the object of our desires... Don't assume the obvious you will get burnt....
  2. Same as IDM drives the injection. More like a friggin Ford Ignition module, that everybody hated until we got the thinner sockets out their on gassers back in the day. Would run until hot shut down and run again when cold. GM had the same problem with theirs. Chrysler on the other hand had Hall-effect sensors and ballast resistors( Remember them Jim ).
  3. Back when I was at Cummins, we had a problem with Fram filters. We had found that the glue they used was coming off of the media and plugging the pickup tubes causing a restriction and burning up bearings. We got them to pay for quite a few 5.9 Dodges along the way. A oil pan drop might help, if this a concern.
  4. Gotta love arcade employee's, they hire the young or you know...
  5. p/m me the last 6 of the vin and I can get the esn for you. Just off hand did you check the fuel return check valve?? Sometimes they get buggered up. Is it throwing any codes??
  6. Bond...Keith Bond. You could be the new one.
  7. Haven't had any luck on the female side hard shell, but still looking. For this truck said fuckit and took the harness apart and extended it ourselves.
  8. I hear that they have one in custody and are looking for more related to the fires. Jim hang tight just save the rods!!!!!
  9. Okay guys I have heard some really good ways of getting those tough buggers off....How about when you put them back on???? What do you do???? Grease,anti-sieze any others????
  10. They will think of something creative... Like replace at your expense because we fucked up and don't know any better before changing designs or vendors... Sound more like it??????
  11. Jim sorry to here about your corner of the world. Nobody should have to deal with that. I'll bet yours wasn't started by somebody that likes to start shit like the guys in Florida. Just heard not long ago that we have a arson in the Florida area, caused big time shit. I'll bet the rest of the guys here feel the same way....
  12. Quote: Ugh, there's plenty of red flags here. First, I hate performance modifications. Second, to disassemble and replace injector parts in a garage situation gives me the heebee geebies. Third, you've hung parts without testing them, checking flow rates, and setting the armature height. If these overfuel, it takes out a piston, might trash the wall, and it's motor time. Not a good risk, if you know what I mean. Be glad you were only the R&R guy..... +1, I agree about the red flags. My suggestion would be to pull them back out and have a reputable fuel shop check them. If you don't have one locally, send them to me and we can check them out.
  13. Oops sorry it is the 6.5. It's for one we have here at the shop. We are going to start making up the harness's for sale. I'll be damned if I will pay what some of these places want for the harness's. Anywhere from 75-100 dollars. Kiss my ass I figure once I find the pieces and make them up I should have about 4-5 dollars into them. I think I found a supplier locally over the weekend, will find out today.
  14. Thats a Ford every man should have!!!What a chassis!!!
  15. We are extending the Duramax PMD harness, and are in need of a connector. What I have is a harness with the WPT733 male connector and need the female version of it. Delphi connector 6 pin flat oval male with female pins, need the mate for it. Any ideas?????? The Motorcraft pigtail catalog only shows the WPT733.
  16. No, I think that Jim's choice may be Crown Royal straight up in a hi-ball. That's what I enjoy in the evening out on the deck watchin the sunset.
  17. Save the cab pulls for the Sick-O's and the new Sick-O-4's
  18. Quote: IAM appears to have gained a lot of members from the automotive trades Be careful I was under IAM at Cummins and they didn't do shit for us!!!!!
  19. Owners what???? The only thing they understand is Rye and Blue. Are there colors for these??? It could be the new national colors...
  20. Well had a problem with Cat a few years back, figured it out and am selling Cat parts cheaper and out of zone with no problems.... Send me a p/m and I'll tell you how....

  22. When you get the new arm don't freak out, it's fairly soft metal and does not have the serations in the hole, they are made when you attach the new arm and tighten down the nut.
