  1. Still fresh, what's the best way to wash that shit out?
  2. Have you guys seen the socket made by snappy for the exhaust on the back of the turbochargers? p/n S6210 Anyone have it, does it work?
  3. Offhand, I can't remember the spec on the stud for the 6.4 head studs, but I can assure you guys I've never broken a socket doing up 6.4 studs, and broke 'em doing 6.4 stock bolts! LOL. The 6.0 studs torque to 210FT-Lbs now, and I'd say the tensile force put on the stud at 210 is comparable or even less than the factory bolts with the torque to yield spec. Never had an issue using studs, only thing I advise anyone to do is make sure the blind holes are cleaned out before trying to install the studs.
  4. 2008 Autocar Xpeditor. When I showed up to the service call, there were flames coming out of the under dash fuse panel. Driver panics and sprays fire extinguisher into the truck. Now I'm working in a truck that smells like an electrical fire and is covered with dry chemical from front to back left to right inside the cab.
  5. My buddy in Australia is strangely hard to get ahold of today. Today, in Australia it's already tomorrow. Mind = Blown
  6. Vise grips and carb cleaner, if it's carbon. Work it back and forth gently..
  7. Cut the heads off the bolts. Lift cab. Heat Loctite directly.
  8. Been there done that. Drove me mental.
  9. 10w30 all year in my 6.4. Conventional. Changed every 3k religiously.
  10. Make sure you wear a hat. There's a lot of electricity there.

Good lord we're a helpful bunch.
  12. Guy was trying to put an A/M stereo in it or something probably.
  13. I wedge a snow brush between the seat and the accelerator pedal on the trucks at work for fast idle. Either that or send the upper packer out and don't allow it to return.
  14. I think they're all on the same 5v bus even though they're on different pins/connectors in the PCM. Glad you got 'er fixed. Those can make you pull your damn hair out.
  15. +1 beer for me when we eventually get around to it LOL
  16. Yah, the whole VREF circuit is suspect at this point. EBP would be the first place I'd head at this point.
  17. Typo in the thread title I wonder how delightful this thing is going to be to fix?

The gigglywidget has a longer doodad on the hookdick side.
  19. My friend Mike can likely do it. I will ask him later in the day when he's more likely to be awake. Do you want to do anythign else with the programming? Turn catalyst monitors off or anything? As an aside, you could use a Megasquirt controller or BigStuff3 to manage the engine, there's kits for almost every engine application already for the BS3. FAST XFI is a good product too, but I'm not sure of the compatibility of that particular motor. Would clean the harness up and make programming/updating a breeze also.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0JSr0HDcOU There's a whole series of these videos. Nicely done.
  21. Another goddamn packer cylinder with a seized pin. Anyone ever used an oxygen powered exothermic cutter? BAD ASS!
  22. Or the gasket between the EGR cooler and the up-pipe. Left this loose after changing a turbo on an econoline - got called away came back and fired it up and it was deafening.
  23. +12 © today here. That means I don't have to wear my bright orange MTO reflector jacket tonight to my girlfriend's dad's birthday party. LOL.
