  1. And this coming from a guy with a PHD in Redneck Engineering.
  2. I got the spirit of the idea... Just the execution/instruction could be a little better, IMO. "...using 22ga or thinner sheet metal..." sounds a little better than "...grab a Coke can and an RC Cola can..."
  3. I just put stats in my truck when I replaced my radiator, and warm up times are significantly longer now, and it loses ECT in a HURRY at idle after cruising on the highway.
  4. In that camp as well. Lets remove the exhaust manifold to change two clamps. I did actually have one break, on my own truck. Cooler had never been off. Looked down after power washing the engine one day and the forward clamp on the horizontal cooler was hanging there in two pieces.
  5. I have used/had a couple Launch cheapies before. One was a data logger deal that just rode along on the OBDII port and it logged some data when the car set a code. Another was one you could just plug in and it would pull, display then clear codes. Kind of an alright deal for both, for a cheapie deal in that respect. That being said, I would be very surprised if they had 95 percent of ANY brand function, let alone most/all of them. I'd want the matco man to let me try one out for a week or so before I committed to buying one, depending on the price.
  6. I see what you did there And I've seen super duties with over 500,000 on them, so the customer that has the one with 16,000 on it that looped at 299 if it's newer than 05 or so (which I can personally vouch for seeing with over 500) is full of poop LOL.
  7. Is there prior approval or anything on these coolers?
  8. Seriously? That's even better advice that the advice in my signature on here! WOW.
  9. There was originally a picture in the thread on that powerstroke site, but everyone started bitching that it was a photoshop. Yes, I'm going to photoshop the mileage UP on my truck
  10. http://www.kbb.com/ford/f350-super-duty-crew-cab/2011-ford-f350-super-duty-crew-cab/lariat-pickup-4d-8-ft/?pricetype=private-party&vehicleid=352758&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=506000&options=4440518|true|4308519|true|4308519|true|4308519|true|4308519|true|4440519|true|4440517|true|4522364|true Even miled out, well optioned in good shape, it's worth 20k. The way I optioned it, sticker was likely around 65k.
  11. I think he was talking about out-and-out failures, aside from maintenance. http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8312
  12. There was an argument on one of the internet forums I read from time to time about that truck. Impressive, the guy said all it has had is a radiator and the heated seats don't work.
  13. It's actually a pretty close color match as-is LOL
  14. 2012 Ford SVT RAPTOR Pickup. 6.2L, all the bells and whistles. 9100 LIGHT HIGHWAY MILES! Won't last long at any price! First $50,000 takes it! DON'T DELAY ACT NOW!
  15. My typical reply to the assclowns that want to "roll coal" is to put a bunch of garbage bags over the inlet to the air filter. The kid who eats too many marbles doesn't grow up to have kids of his own. Fortunately, most of those marble-eaters have OHSA to protect them, at least in the work place.
  16. Look like someone you know I found that on another forum, and got a chuckle out of it.
  17. I noticed that near the end lol. I like the one Jeff made on here a while back.
  18. Sorry, that's two 6.0 ones. I had a regular customer with a 7.3 one, but never touched the motor. Just commercial safeties and fixed stuff as his guys wrecked it. Changed a lot of mirrors on that van.
  19. When I worked at Knapp's in Essex, Ontario, for almost two years, I worked on TWO diesel econolines. One was a turbocharger on a cable van, and the other was a set of fuel injectors in a guy's daily delivery work truck.
  20. No thank you. I'd rather chuck my wiener through a meat grinder than work on E-Series again.
  21. Best luck I've had gettin them out is the no mercy method. I always quote replacement if I need to pull them out. I've been grabbing the harness and just yanking like an angry fuckin savage. Only ever had one that didn't come out that way. I know it sounds awful but it seems to work. Lol. Better on an F than an E though. What worked in the past is heating up a self tapping screw and screwing it into the busted piece. Go for a smoke and let it cool, then bump it out with a prybar.
  22. Shit, we used to get .8 for a super duty! MD trucks have a TON more grease fittings on them, plus whatever the add on service body is!!
  23. *thumbs in suspenders* TENS of dollars. I like the sound of that!
  24. Need to find a wiped out 2014 transit RIGHT AWAY and swap the powertrain into an F-150. I can only hope a LD Diesel option is coming down the pipe with the Transit development going the route it is. Thanks for keeping us in the loop on this, Keith!
