  1. I've not started the engine on 6.4's and 6.0's without any issue, just turning the key on. The 6.4's argue a little about it, but you don't have to start it. I liked doing this while I was doing an oil change/reflash or recall update combo, for a little overlap gravy
  2. Can you flash the PCM with that setup like that?
  3. That being said though, the compression is still a little weak in my opinion... How many hours/miles on this whip?
  4. I get more excited when they AREN'T under a tube top.
  5. Getting any smoke during crank if you don't fog it with ether?
  6. I've actually been thinking of doing something like this, just for playing around with. I wouldn't mind a few pics of your entire setup, just to look at it. You can email them if you wish. But it's still a neat idea!
  7. The elevation of Cleveland is 689FT. Being fairly close to your elevation, I would say at 300psi, you're likely into some RED
  8. North East, Pennsylvania. Elevation 883FT http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/US/PA/North_East.html
  9. Our ITEC software automatically pulled the VIN and hours from a truck when you hooked it up?
  10. I have never seen one fail (the regulator), personally, but have done a LOT of those filters, especially on trucks that haul dirt that are cab and chassis. Crap falls on the filler neck all the time. It's actually part of an annual PM program I designed for a customer of mine LOL.

  12. Did you check your inlet restriction? And are you talking the sock filter on the bottom of the pickup, or the two cylindrical filters in the pickup itself? Cab and chassis or Pickup truck?
  13. The first one I did, I had everything all swapped out and the old parts boxed up and back in the parts room before I realized that I had to swap that disc over. Was less than entertaining, it was on a Lincoln of some type.
  14. The shorted cover gasket, I've done four, if I recall rightly. As time goes on, the ones that haven't been changed, could become problematic. But, that being said, most of the trucks that didn't have the wiring failure likely had a pump somewhere along the line anyhow.
  15. Only way I would be going back to a dealer at this point is if it was straight time.
  16. I think it still has the DPF and junk working, just the SCR is turned off, which will likely beat up the mileage pretty bad or they might compensate with additional EGR to keep the NOx levels in check.
  17. 23c (73 or so for the American folks) degrees here Thursday. There's snow on the ground this morning.
  18. I agree with you Keith, especially if the cab hasn't ever been off, and cab mounts have Loctite on them still. What does the pump harness TSB pay now?
  19. So, here's the thought that came across my alcohol-clouded mind the other night. The cam sensor in the 7.3 was a stalling/non-restarting concern, and eventually Ford issued a recall. Sooooo, here's the hundred and eighteen dollar question. If an issue like a HPFP gasket was ever a recall, would you guys rather do it NOW, or down the road a bit after the salt belt eats at cab bolts/mounts/etc? (And likely get paid 5 hours to do it?) Has anyone ever done a cab off on a 6.4 truck that's been rotten already? We're getting 5-6 years on them, salt and not washing, or plow trucks, there has to be rotten ones out there already.
  20. Seriously?! It was like 74 degrees here today.
