So, the "be all and the end all" (as the Ford School teacher said) of putting the EGR valve on the hot exhaust side to keep the valves from coking up, worked. Just clogs the cooler shut cause it's the cold side now LOL. I can't help myself from laughing every time I see that damn avatar picture of yours, Alex.

Someone doesn't like this guy, I take it?

My favorite. Or a guy will ask something and I will reply with factual info and the proper diagnostic direction or repair, and be told I don't know what I'm talking about.

Installed LC 3.6 Kenne Bell blower on one of our built 5.8 GT500 engines in a 2013 Super Snake, and got it ready, shipped it out to the customer. 838hp at the wheels.

I used to work with a coaster (somebody that moved to Ontario from one of the Maritime provinces). Coasters don't have a 100% grip on French or English-but they do have a 90% grip on both... So they speak "Frenglish". He used to say stuff like; "You think I know fucking nothing? I tell you I know fuck all!". Good times! LMFAO.We get our share of coasters in our shop as well. Super nice folks but hard to understand at times.

The things that worry me about this: 1. Kid's (Mellard) father committed suicide not long ago. They are now looking into this more in depth. 2. An associate of this has an incinerator. 3. He doesn't seem too worked up about being in the pokey for the crime. 4. This doesn't seem like an activity that you just dive into, there's likely been others. Apparently now they are investigating a connection between him and a missing Toronto woman as well.

As for knowing the suffixes, I've painstakingly compiled a tear tag list for the 6.4 trucks, and I'm working on one for the 6.7 trucks as well.

It seems the TCM cal in most aftermarket tuners shows as the 8C3A - CA identifier. They're TRYING to make that PCM cal look like a Ford cal, but using the wrong identifier. The cal should show up as 8U7A-14C204-JD. That being said, they may use the cal ID instead of the actual calibration part number to prevent IDS from automatically updating the calibration. That Tuned PCM Cal changes up to teartag identifier KRU3, which is a 50-state automatic calibration, and KRU3 (your A0533 cal, JD suffix) or KRU4 (A0534, JE suffix) is the teartag I am seeing most commonly identified by the IDS or any tool capable of pulling the Cal ID, in respect to tuned trucks.

Wow I wish it wasn't such a roadie to get there from here, or I'd be on my way. We even have a long weekend this weekend.

I agree. In the OFF CHANCE that you're coming to my place to look at something (I live in an apartment building so I'd be hard to pinpoint as "OCCUPANT", I'm going to be outside waiting for you, and sizing up the situation as it developed, and if something smelled off, I'd just wander my refrigerator sized ass back inside. Guy who's coming to look at something I've got for sale doesn't know what I look like, so they can wait outside. That being said - I've sold a pile of shit on Kijiji, and always met somewhere public, aside from the fact that my house was awful hard to find, it was nice not having someone come gawk at the hot rods, my truck, anything that could be seen through the windows of my house, etc. The story now goes that the two guys that allegedly abducted Bosma were dropped off by another vehicle, which left following the truck. Police are working to identify it from a cell phone video. I don't know why they don't find car guys or mechanics or something to identify vehicles in these situations. A guy shows up to roadie my pickup if I'm selling it, with a buddy, I ask who's buying - and me and THAT person goes for a toot - other guy waits behind. Or I'm bringing a buddy of mine with me as well, who's of equal size and anger level, and as easily provoked to self defense. Still a sad scene all around. What the fuck is wrong with people anymore.

Thoughts with the family during this difficult time, and wish for a speedy resolution to the legal side of this issue.

Near me, there was a fellow who was trying to sell his Dodge pickup on Kijiji. Last Monday, two guys showed up to take it for a roadie. The owner was not seen or heard from since. Today they found his burned corpse in a field. They found the truck in an enclosed trailer on the weekend, at suspect #1's mother's house. Burnt corpse was found on suspect #1's property. Apparently, the two guys (suspects 1 and 2) took ANOTHER Dodge truck for a drive, but when they showed up at the guy's house to drive it, I guess he was about my size (6'4, 240-260) so they figured, I guess, they'd better not try any funny stuff. The first guy said he went for a ride, one guy drove, and the other guy sat behind him. Pretty sad story, all around. http://www.cbc.ca/hamilton/news/story/2013/05/14/hamilton-bosma-search-kitchener-waterloo.html

Some of the aftermarket tuners are identifying their tunes as Ford cals as well, so that's something to look out for. Strategy: and Filename: at the top of the IDS log after the VIN SHOULD tell you the current calibration. PCM_FILENAME: Should also tell you what calibration is in it. I'd compare it to a like unit, and see what the calibration in that unit. Do you figure you've got something tuned?

Was outfitting a 2013 GT500 with Wilwood brakes all the way around, Super Snake cooling system upgrade, shifter, rear end ratio swap, and finishing up the engine install readying it for the 3.6 Kenne Bell install. That being said, after mounting the LF rotor after it's assembly and safety wire, installing the caliper, I looked in behind the rotor where the caliper mount bracket is, to see what shims I had installed between the bracket and the spindle, and when I was extracting my melon from the wheel opening, I touched the back of my head on the fender and it hit just the right spot, and prompted an immediate flinching reaction, where I immediately slammed my head forward into the caliper. Now there's a real nice lump on my forehead, and it hurts real bad. I have applied the necessary amount of Dr. Jack Daniel's remedy number 7, and I am just waiting for it to begin working. I have two superchargers to install tomorrow and Friday, and a 5.0 coyote supercharger kit to install Monday.

Being a commercial truck shop primarily, are you guys on flat rate, or hourly? I know most of the heavy/truck/commercial shops down London way are hourly.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Please post pictures of the catastrophic failure(s) when you discover them! Did the truck run reasonably well, before? (Not according to the driver, did you ever hear it run well LOL)
