  1. Ok, sorry, it was at my elbow. LOL I'm 6'4 and some change.
  2. I did one with 44's on it, the bumper was like at my waist. Today's project was assembling this crate engine package. Installed supercharger, alternator, trans, wiring harness, built a shipping crate for it. 5.0L Coyote, Ford Controls Pack engine management system, our in-house 2.3 Supercharger kit, 4R70W with a PCS controller, Boss alternator. Not pictured is the A/C and power steering, and great big heat exchanger that goes with the intercooler kit. This combo makes a little over 2hp per cubic inch on 94 octane pump gas. The ones that we install in pickups/Mustangs also meet Ontario Drive Clean standards (same power level, this one just doesn't need to meet smog I assume, since it's going in a street rod of some type, and the Ford Controls Pack does not appear to have provisions for catalyst monitor oxygen sensors.)
  3. Is taking the door off in the WSM, or was that just done because it's waaaaay easier to get shit in and out of the car?
  4. Got 'er smoldering hot and torched it? Antifreeze exited tailpipe, owner drove it 'till it quit. Pull the oil filter and see if the standpipe is melted.
  5. I like them old-timey Auuuuuuuugaaahhhh horns.
  6. And technically the horn DOES work... LOL 5. (1) The horn shall be inspected and tested and, the horn shall not be loose on its mounting; and the horn shall function.
  7. Clip wire in column. Put a push-button on the dashboard labelled "HORN". Done. $8 in parts, and some labour.
  8. I saw one like that awhile back, on an older E-series 6.0 I think I put a piece of sliced open heater hose around the harness.
  9. I did come out of the bathroom beating my chest earlier, but I was just proud of the smell.
  10. Last time I saw a RETAIL intake manifold replacement time for an F-series I think the chilton book was around 8 hrs.
  11. The Amsoil diesel treatment smells and has the same consistency as the Ford stuff.
  12. Sounds like the wheelman is beating the bag off this trans or something. OR, this is going down, but you'd think you'd see oil fuckin' EVERYWHERE. Jul 17 2013 6351 -Announcing Field Service Action 13B08 DELIVERY HOLD - Customer Satisfaction Program 13B08 - Certain 2013 Model Year F-Super Duty, Commercial Stripped Chassis, and Motorhome Vehicles Equipped with a 6.2L or 6.8L Engine - Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Line Inspection and Replacement. Refer to FMCDealer.com 13B08 Looks like they aren't cured properly, and it causes oil to drain out of the cooler line at an alarming rate... Making the transmission hate life.
  13. >Module Programming -> Programmable Parameters --> Personality ---> Reset Hour Meter (off the top of my head.)
  14. Anyone have a symptom code or SSM number for that? I can't seem to find it.
  15. I don't even remember there being labor ops for this stuff once they brought the tsb out!
  16. I liked at the dealer when an advisor would upsell a single shot cetane boost to a customer with a service, or injectors, or something. I'd save the bottles and fill them from the gallon can and keep them in the toolbox in my truck, for quick shots when filling up with fuel.
  17. Congratulations! When are you hitting the road?
  18. I remember a guy having a dually towed in for a no crank-no start. After a quick scan in the parking lot, I went out under the hood, and bumped the starter over with the underhood wire, and drove it into the shop. He was so pissed that he had just spent upwards of $300 on a tow, and I seemingly hopped in his truck and drove it inside. LOL.
  19. I notice fuel mileage improvements as well in my 6.4 with the 22 and 23. I usually buy it in a gallon can, and keep it and something to measure/dump it with in the bed of my truck.
  20. There is a dealer nearby to me that has it in stock still. I asked for the clear bottle cetane/performance improver and the kid came out of the back of the parts room with this stuff, black bottle, 2" thick layer of dust on it... LOL
  21. I had a weak moment today and undid the motor and yanked it off a regulator out of a 2003-ish mustang. I'm glad my fingers weren't in the track anywhere, because I'd likely still be sitting at the hospital, bleeding.
