  2. Funny this got brought back around today. Got around to that today, finally. I guess some of the leaves were somewhat...damp. you can't see my whole neighborhood, and to add insult to injury, I didn't have any gasoline, (even old stale lawnmower gas) so I've had a smoking, smoldering pile of shit out in my yard all afternoon.
  3. BrunoWilimek has the procedure spelled out pretty well, I can't find the E-mail he sent me. Spent an hour pouring through my inbox last night.
  4. We can make ANYTHING fit However....I'd think a Sonny Leonard 762 inch big chevy would be a nice fit in there As an aside - the LS series (gen III) small block have the extra bell bolt at the top of the bell that you mentioned, as well as some of the truck blocks. I forget the exact trans configuration that was in those things, likely an SM465 in most of the 'lighter' stuff. Let me get the ol' Chevy literature out when I get home.
  5. Pretty much everything is the same, the water pumps are different and they used a gear driven camshaft as opposed to a chain drive if memory serves me rightly. 9.800 is the standard deck height for a big Chevy. 366/427 is basically the same external dimensions.
  6. PM Bruno on here, he's got a pretty good writeup. I've got it somewhere, but I can't find the dang thing for the life of me.
  7. Bruce, that 427 is likely a tall deck (10.200") motor, so it'd be a good foundation for a stroker -- in the +600 inch range But it probably woulnd't fit under a Vette hood.
  8. Nitrous Oxide is like Viagra. When the bottle's empty, the fun's over.
  9. You sure it's not "I'm not as think as you stoned I am?"
  10. I'd never had one apart, was just a guess. Wow, there's a lot of junk in there!
  11. F-series CJB isn't close? I imagine there's a couple other fuses in there, but could they be added, or maybe they're there as 'dummy' fuses in the F-series CJB? I can imagine the GEM being different though. These parts issues are starting to get out of control, the things they are discontinuing, I mean.
  12. FWIW: http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/grams-to-milligrams.htm 1 gram = 1000mg So .25gr would be 250mg Something ain't right there... Try changing the 'MASS' option in the IDS tab from kilograms to pounds, or vise versa, and see if this has any affect on the concern?
  13. If it doesn't work, he has http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/psd-8-ball/ linked in his sig.
  14. http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/1408362-post22.html Dig the link in his sig. Keith - charge him royalties for using the site I think Im gonna be outta there in about.....a week, tops. I'm kinda being......slightly belligerent to...EVERYBODY
  15. Fuck it, put 'em in. Let him worry about it. Kidding. I'd almost be tempted to order a CN 5020 RM .... last one I changed was an alliant power injector in a Ford box. It had the tan/brown top like you are describing. Ask Larry - I bet you he can cross it for you!
  16. Sorry for the double post, if it was on here before. Got my shirt today! Thanks dude!
  17. There is some discussion on another board I hang out at about Right To Repair. What are your thoughts? http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3233628#post3233628 I betcha I get flamed, bad over that. (I'm the Big Angry Hillbilly, in case you didn't already know)
  18. yeah the accessory drive seems to be different on EVERY 3.1/3.4
  19. And Keith - now that you mention it, our tuneup guy changed a rear suspension section in a wind/freestar (can't remember which) a couple weeks back, It was broken, with no apparent impact damage. It wasn't broken all the way across, but there was only about 2" material holding things together.
  20. And a pan full of coolant and oil soup. Ever seen one of those break the camshaft? Hollow camshaft with pressed-on lobes!
  21. I have a 6.9 or 7.3 IDI i can't remember which, for a misfire. I'm gonna give it to the other diesel certified guy and watch him go bananas when he can't find the DLC
  22. Yah we have one late shift a week
