  1. I like to put the sides of the bolt heads to the grinder to roughen them up a bit before they go back in, makes running them in with the fingers real easy.
  2. You remove the engine appearance cover, then the intake manifold. We have a V6 Ecoboost in getting the transmission fixed(removing that looked like a pain), there seemed to be enough room to work through the hood though on the gasser, so I think the diesel will be not to bad.
  3. We have dedicated wireless strictly for the shop. No one else has access to it but the techs. We also have no public access wifi.
  4. 2008 F550 flat deck with 5th wheel and a recent DPF delete. Need I say more?
  5. If they are installed numbers down the top row of bolt holes will not line up, so you can't complete the torque sequence. I am sure there are coolant passages that would not line up, but you wouldn't get that far anyways, one would think.
  6. New frp sensor showed 1200 psi, now has enough flow to check the rails, metal was found. Replaced the rails and injectors, made sure the rest of the system was clean. Runs like a top now. Hour meter shows 8100 hours, only 85000 KM(53000 miles) on the odometer.
  7. This one went after warranty assistance. Not sure whats being covered, but I have an enhanced short block, 2 heads and a complete high pressure system waiting to go in it. Customer is supplying the turbos and dropped off a set of ARP studs.
  8. Just finished my 2008 which had metal in the fuel system. After parking it I decided to check the hours. 85000 KM(53000 miles) and 8100 hours. Now I finally get to pull my 09 which came in as a retail no start and will leave as an after warranty assistance engine and high pressure system.
  9. System bled. 5psi from low side. I think the Frp is stuck on zero psi for some reason and the pcm won't turn the injectors on.
  10. Pump is in. Still only reads 0 psi, cracked the line to the left rail and it definitely has something. Have an FRP sensor coming in Monday. Never run into this before, but will the PCM not fire the injectors if it sees 0 psi cranking?
  11. I have a hpfp to do. Can't lift the cab all the way or get the truck high enough to remove the transmission. Thinking of a partial lift to get the turbos out of the way. Any ideas? Thanks
  12. If its running I would lean to a bearing failure. Just finished one with #7 wrist pin bushing pounded out. No other damage. Due to lack of parts I installed a long block.
  13. 2007 F350. I guess some people don't care to look for stuff they drop. Recently had the EGR cooler replaced.
  14. Had one with same issue. All the rear cover bolt holes were full of oil. Ended up resealing the rear cover and oil pans.
  15. Can you post a VIN. I can run oasis and see what pops up. Our SYNC guy here says it's the APIM going stupid. Problem is some places won't change it on a "Just because" basis. You may have to talk to someone higher up in the dealership to get it done.
  16. Torqueshift for a 2010 F350. Apparently there was a North America wide back order on torque converters.
  17. The transmission I have been waiting for over a month for finally showed up.
  18. 5 months old now and weighs in at 43 lbs. Not sure why the pic's are sideways, used phone to post this.
  19. I could see a bad cap doing this, if it wasn't allowing air back into the system when the coolant temp. dropped. Or allowing the system to bleed with out leaving the cap loose.
  20. I must have been smoking something special when I took it then. Damn, I was sure I read somewhere there was an access point in the cab.
  21. I am pretty sure that there is an access cover in the cab. There was mention of it in the NMT course.
  22. The 6.7L has a pounded out wrist pin bushing. No short blocks around, so it gets a long block. Have a few P054F reprograms lined up too.
