  1. I've had 1 or 2 ruptures, they didn't seem to be leaking badly. Did you separate the down pipe and look for contamination?
  2. 08 F550 ambulance, leaking bed plate, cyl. 1 compression 375 psi, all others 400 plus and p2291 97 F250 leaking oil pan 05 F350 1 fuel injector and cracked charge air cooler
  3. 15 F550 concrete dump truck 6R140 trans. pump seal. The concrete dust does not come off and entire trans. is covered in this shit. 12 F250 with a P20EE getting a dpf/scr assembly 97 F250 7.3 no start/long crank low fuel pressure 06 Sprinter died while going down the road
  4. Just giving a heads for 17 Transit. Came in, dealer trade from Michigan hard start when vehicle sits for awhile no codes. Check battery voltage supply connector at GPCM C1749A not pushed in all the way. Its the round connector with single wire.
  5. By the looks of that thing Matt, I'd be done with it and price a long block assuming the rest of the engine isn't totally hacked to shit.
  6. Which modules are your communication faults stored in? The B1310:14 is for the start/run relay circuit controlled by the bcm. I would look into starting with that code and the p2531 stored in the tcm since they are both pointing to the same concern. Check the sub harness going to the tcm on the frame rail under the driver side, have seen issues with wiring corrosion especially if the truck sees a lot of off-road.
  7. I've seen a lot of deteriorated seals as well and they will start to dig into the housing or the front cover.
  8. They usually stick open and over extend. Engine wont reach operating temperature, sets a p0128 wont regen etc.
  9. Had one we put 3 sets. They would go bad once a year. Maybe try flushing the system this go around and see if it helps.
  10. Leon, that would require them to do there job. I found that sometimes its just better to cut out the middle man and call a customer myself.
  11. On the late build hpop, the port just above the shaft is the ipr oil dump port correct? Is it normal to have air coming from that port during an air test? I have an 07 in for an stc fitting and never paid attention. I always thought the air coming from the shaft lip seal was the normal leak heard in the crankcase.
  12. Have not had the pleasure of working on these yet but from the looks of things and watching other guys, i'll try and keep it that way as long as possible.
  13. 2000 F350 dump went in to overheat protection, stuck thermostat and corroded cooling system. Only has 18k miles, spent its whole life on golf course parking lot.
  14. IDI has 70k or 80k miles, guy just bought it. He also has a 2000 F450 sitting here needing 3500 in brake and front end work. Truck will barely start and run. He thought cam sensor recall would take care of it. Its been sitting outside since last week waiting on approval.
  15. Excursion body no big deal, only thing extra was more body bolts, fill neck and bulk connector in the back for tail lights. It does help to remove all the bolts. Started to lift and back wasnt coming up. Took the bolts out under the 3rd row and the rear pair. Didnt see the pair in between.
  16. 05 Excursion body is up and engine torn down, waiting on set of head studs 94 F350 7.3 IDI is locked up, has rod hanging out of the side of oil pan 07 F350 crank no start, 160 psi icp 11 F350 6.2 lost power on highway 2000 F350 dump with 5.4 lost power
  17. Like Keith said, there is probably no crosshatch left on the cylinder walls from running the tuner cranked up. Had a truck a couple of years ago with same thing only it was not using as much oil. Truck ran like a rocket, only symptom was check engine light and P252f. Pulled the cylinder head off and cylinders looked like mirrors. Did you actually do a crankcase pressure test with a gauge and block off vent?
  18. That's sucks man but thanks for the heads up
  19. I was thinking about pulling the body. Rear ac and heater lines plus a couple of extra connectors is all you have to worry about i assume?
  20. Yeah mine is the exact same thing. Running a programmer, coolant blowing out of the degas bottle, already has an egr delete so no brainer. This is the cleanest excursion I have ever seen, only 46k miles. Problem is the customer is from out of state, I squeezed him in to diag it and told him it would be 1 to 2 weeks before I could start on it. I looked at it last Wednesday and he has called 3 times wanting to know the progress. I'm so overloaded already I felt like telling him to drive home since he wants to be a pain the ass.
  21. 06 and 07 sprinters each has a huge list of shit to be done. New account, local church with a couple of f150s asked if we would work on these. Advisor says sure no problem bring them on in. Thanks for bringing me in on the conversation 05 6.0 excursion for head gaskets Class c motorhome for I don't know what 97 F800 is back for a starter 6.4 for thermostats
