  1. Check the oil pressure sensor/switch. I'll bet the update has not been done. Cummins had a problem with the fact that they installed a duel sensor/switch but had problems with it because it would read to low of a pressure and send it to a derate. Their fix change it over to a switch only with a calibration update to the ECM. Should have one wire if it's been done.
  2. Something doesn't seem right, I don't think your looking at the map sensor. It seems like its derating to me.
  3. Got that site, have ordered the book going to convert my Saturn if possible.

  5. No won't do that, have seen to many messes. Usually replace if they don't come apart clean.
  6. Quote: You fellers do realize he is a member here right? So in the event that he honestly did not intend to insult or "poke the bear" Yeah your right Keith, I personally don't know him, but it's not right to get on him about a post, He may have been having a really shitty day. Maybe he will change the post and see that he was pointing the gun the wrong way. On edit: I deleted my other posts because I re-read them and decided not to say what I had whether it be right or wrong.

STILL NOT OUR FAULT !!!!
  12. Nope, dealer price or retail nothing in between. Unless some get better pricing for more volume. By the way Bruce is a hell of a guy you should all meet him face to face. He saw our newest toy and had a demo of some Cummins Celect injectors on the test stand. He has the test results with him.

  20. I believe that the coolant and intake sensors are the same on the ISB's they use the same one in both places. On another thought has the update for the oil pressure sensor been done yet. They had problems with the 2 wire sensor and changed it over to a 1 wire switch. It would get false low oil pressure readings and send the vehicles into a derate. Cummins came out with this fix which needs to be done at a Cummins dealer or Distributor. Check the oil sensor how many wires does it have?
  21. Are you checking the wastegate actuator at the actuator or thru the hose? Use a mity-vac at the actuator it should hold vacumm. If not it is bad. Make sure you check the wastegate hose and line for cracks or corrosion it's real common problem. The part # for the new actuator kit is 4030018 priced around $180.00. Or if you need a turbo the reman # from Cummins is 3802881RX priced around $1100.00 exch. $80.00 core. I have brand new Holsets on the shelf for around $975.00 exch.
  22. Dave, funny you should see that happen. I just had one of these come thru the shop on Monday, but from the Nav. side. Exactly as you have described it. The pin was ground oblong and the slot was widened, looks like a good place to use bushings.
  23. Got the esn# for you. It's a ISB 5.9 ESN 56443304 Do you have the insite software to hookup to the truck?
