  1. 2008 Town car frame replacement. My area looks like downtown Beirut during a half off bomb sale.
  2. Uh. I didn't even know Nissan was still in business, much less making trucks.
  3. Seen guys torch the rivets out of the spring perches on newer Super Dutys to get at the exhaust manifolds. I can tell you I would be getting a new truck if I picked it up from being serviced and I saw grade 5 bolts holding my spring in the front of my truck.
  4. I guess I am glad I have never done one of these.
  5. What do you do when your 2003 Focus won't start because the ignition cylinder will not turn? Well, you grab a hammer and you beat the hell out of the end of the key while trying to turn it with a pair of pliers. Now the key turns (although the transponder chip flew out of the end of it and is laying on the asphalt beside the car) but it still won't start and the theft light is flashing, what next? Duh, it's quite obvious, you replace the starter motor. OK, still no start????? Take the fuse panel out, jump some relays, blow some fuses, then throw in the towel and tow it to the dealership. The key was mangled so badly that copying it made it quite difficult. One cylinder, 2 keys and 45 minutes later the vehicle was back in the customers hands. Morale of the story is the dealership ain't such a bad alternative.
  6. and they omitted the spacers. I use to use them for all sorts of things, not anymore.
  7. They grow up quick, eh? Wont be long til I'm teachin my granddaughter to drive.
  8. I always tell all the new guys that are on the clock to sign up for every shit job that comes down the pipe, it will make you a better more rounded tech in the long run.
  9. Looks good, I like the Murphy's Law approach in the part description also:
  10. It's a stand alone module on the F-Series and incorporates the RKE antenna.
  11. I do believe that is the TPMS module, all those items are together stuffed behind the glove box in the truck. Not sure why they would include on this stand though. Of course I could be wrong.
  12. Ditto on that. I have gone to the practice of taking the new part out of the box and immediately putting the old part in the box with RO number and date on it. I recently rebuilt a 54 in an Econoline and had writers cramp from labeling everything for return.
  13. Had a few like that with pin fit issues at the compressor clutch. Not sure if tugging on the wiring harness while making repairs to the engine caused it or not. I just close the two pins up a little tighter and she's G to the G (good to go).
  14. Alldata shows 7 for warranty and 9.8 retail.
  15. ----> Eat a banana -----> Scratch my balls... Just going by your avatar
  16. They got a new recall on the cooler lines on them things.
  17. I just looked on our lot and we don't have a single truck with a block heater, only plugs. All the long blocks I have replaced are plugged off also.
  18. Yeah I've heard. Now I can't bitch and complain to you guys about how hot it is down here 'cause it's hotter up there! Well at least there's no rust.
  19. Had one shut down on me and I mean shutdown, for this concern. I coasted off the road onto the safest part of the shoulder I could manage.
  20. Hot damn, I'm excited for ya! I am glad things worked out and you didn't have to climb back in the trenches. Look forward to seeing the finished project. Looks like you got some photo hounds in there.
