  1. Replaced engine with a brand new one from Ford, couldn't find it in IDS, so it may have been deleted with one of the many updates.
  2. Holy shit, if we did that the dealer would be closed 8 months out of the year!
  3. Thought I saw something about this on here, did not come up with anything on the search bar. Anyone know if the hour meter can be reset on a 2011 F59 stripped chassis?
  4. That stinks, I was hoping it would be an easy low side system repair. I hate having to go into major repairs twice on the same vehicle.
  5. Given the mileage and nature of the truck, I would say she has probably been worked hard all her life and most likely neglected as well. Even if the pump is the problem and "fixes" the truck, I would perform a crankcase pressure test and have a look at the turbo fins. I have been down the road of putting nice new parts on top of a completely worn out (dusted) engine. It will cover your ass in the long run for sure.
  6. Couple of things I was wondering about were year model, chassis style, mileage, and maintenance. If you look at Pinpoint test "M", the first step is to clear the codes and retest, if no codes return then the problem is "elsewhere". The fact that you had to drive the vehicle to get the code to return indicates you are most likely dealing with a mechanical fault and not an electrical issue. P0087 has always been a low pressure supply issue in my dealings with these things. To properly rule out low pressure, the truck must be driven hard and under wide open throttle. I am willing to bet that the pressure will be under spec.
  7. Thanks, I was all over it, but couldn't put it all together.
  8. Air conditioning raining out of evap box on a hot day down here. http://youtu.be/n4qMAknmwvU
  9. I would have to say that the Nissan addition to the van market is hands down the ugliest thing out there!!
  10. Shit, 22's are small around here. The common size is 24' with quite a few 26's. I have seen a couple vics on 30's.
  11. Huh, the avatar must show the users true self. Bahahahaha
  12. 1993 Lincoln Town car sittin on 22's, with absolutely ever possible thing wrong with it that can be wrong. I have never seen so many pattern failures on one vehicle at the same time. You think that the previous owner would have had to have fixed some of these things along the line at some point. For now it's getting the vacuum tee to the PCV hose,
  13. Motors out and on a stand. Number 5 rod bearing gone.
  14. Just finished up a rod knock in an E-350 gasser and now I'm fixin a rod knock in a F59 stripped chassis gasser (uniform company box truck).
  15. Thanx, just got out of the pool, getting ready to fire up the grille.
  16. If it performs a VGT relearn without issues then the VGT is most likely ok. Never seen a torque convertor go out on one of these but seen many on 4R100's. I like to put the truck nose down on the biggest incline I can find and then romp on it in reverse. If the truck just sits there revving then the convertor isn't multiplying the needed torque to get going. Just thinking out loud.
  17. Looks like someone is attempting to be humorous whilst trying to hang on to their sanity?
  18. Reminds me of this thread: http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=37744#Post37744
  19. Yeah, I undo both mounts and undo the intake hose, upper fan shroud, and cold cac hose (3 things total underhood) as pictured. Then the pan will fall out and land on your foot. I got a nice little dealy on it at home on my laptop if you would like for me to email it to ya.
  20. I don't lift the body at all to get the lower pan out, and the upper is only held in by a few more bolts after that, right? I was going to attach a link to the thread on this but none of the pictures are loading correctly.
  21. Like I said I use a broom handle. '92 Stang getting an upgraded bump stick and aluminum cylinder heads.
  22. You not paying attention or what? They all get long blocks!
  23. SOOOOOO I blame this all on my wife. She left for Vermont for a week and left me alone with no adult supervision. Although she did manage to put some parental control on the satellite dish [before she left] which I have not been able to get around yet. Here is the picture of my sunburn: and here is the offending unit that burned me finger: I guess I can't blame that one on the wife, I was blindly grabbing at pulleys. The customer said they saw sparks and smoke filled the cab. They called to get a price on a turbo and then towed it up to the shop. The service advisor talked them into having it double checked. Well, I gotta log off, "Finding Nemo" is getting ready to come on....
