  2. Damn that's one funny ass lookin' picture, about as funny as one I have tucked away that I might have to break out.
  3. I was thinking the same thing, that is one limber mutherfucker! His head actually disappears even further into the abyss, I think. He has somemore time lapse vids, one of a cab off on an '08. Not sure why the cab would stay on for this if he is pullin cabs for fuel pumps.
  4. If you graduated ASSET then you should be Senior Master certified already pending your 3 year tenure and ASE's which you still need for '09 certs. Run your id thru stars and assign yourself to senior master cert. Then click on the planner and it will tell you what you are missing.
  5. Anyone know this fellow? I don't think I've seen him around here.
  6. Power balance goes waaaayyy back. All the way to '95s and some '94s.
  7. Also, check the history on the vehicle. Someone could have had the motor apart at one point or another and miss timed it. These things will still run 1 tooth off and not to bad at that.
  8. Power balance should pick that up since its under 2000 rpm. Take if for a rip up a nice hill and have someone ride with ya to watch the power balance screen, or just look at the memory traces.
  9. Quote: It's a "fix" for the vehicles that blow plugs out. That's just crazy talk. Put a 3V plug beside a 2V plug, the things like twice as long. The way the thing extends past the last thread puts it too deep into the combustion chamber. 3V spark plugs are only good for pluggin off vaccum lines IMHO.
  10. Turn that frown upside down. Every bent push rod, I have came across be it a 6.0 or 7.3, has been valve and valve guide issues. The 6.4 has the same head as a the 6.0. Can't be sure if it applies in your case. Try pushing the valves down a smidge to see how they move.
  11. It drives me ape shit when guys bring their small children inside the shop. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE FOR THEM AND MOST GROWNUPS TO BE IN.
  12. Dwayne has the answer to your question before it was even asked. ^^^^^
  13. That is awesome! I actually had to adjust my eyeballs for a slight moment before about rolling out of my chair! You could measure a mighty big "bush" with that instrument.
  14. Shit, I forgot to vote again Yesterday. But today is taken care of.
  15. I get an '04 E-350 with a mil on and skip. I bring it in and it most likely is a coil or two. It also makes a really wierd squeaking noise, like something is in the right hand cat. Numbers 1 and 3 are flagged on power balance. I remove number 1 and it fails stress test. I move on to number 3 and the coil is funny lookin'. I take it out and it's shorter than the rest and the connector is in the wrong spot. I'm thinkin aftermarket screw up or something. It's a company truck for some HVAC outfit and they need the truck back now and don't want to wait on it. So me being the nice guy I figured I would put an old coil in that I took out of a junkyard core. But it won't fit in the number 3 hole. It sticks up too far. So I remove the plug but my socket won't fit it. Turns out it's a 9/16 socket. I get the plug out and the damn things a 3v motor spark plug and the coil is also. Holy shit, some dumb fuck retapped the hole, put the wrong plug in and it broke the hole tip off and embedded it in the piston. SO now the head and at least one piston (hence the squeaking noise) needs to be replaced. What do they have me do? Cut the end of the plug off so it won't hit the piston anymore, put it back in and send him on his way. I tell ya I won't ever call this outfit to fix my heating cooling concerns.
  16. So I am working on a Focus and my protege breezes over with some "helpful" advise. I glare at him and tell him to come back after he's got more that peach fuzz on his sack. He confidently strolls off and after about an hour of fartin around I look over both shoulders and follow his unsolicited advise. Well he was right on the money and I fixed the vehicle and gave him credit where it was due. Then I promptly gave him shit for not being more forceful with the damn advise to begin with.
  17. As seen on a job application "excellent memory, great people skills, excellent memory".
