  1. As Keith said Ford gives us nothing as far as info on CAT except to notify us on OASIS if there is a cat recall. On the good side my TEPS manager from my local CAT dealer (H.O.Penn) is Mark Goldberg, and is by far the most helpful human being I have ever known.
  2. +1 for the senders but I have also seen a lot of failed transfer pumps. If you find that the plastic top of the sender/senders is white save your self the trouble replace BOTH senders the revised have a black top.
  3. Keith I just looked a the evtm for a 2006 F-650 and all three show a C1454A at the + battery and C1454B and the - battery. I've said it before it's the first thing I check for almost any F-650 F-750 engine or trans concern. there tie strapped so tight to the plastic brackets that it cuts the wiring insulation and turns green. on edit I see you said 2008 not 2006 but it still shows the b+ feed for 2008
  4. In the unlikely event of a water landing your seat cushion can also be used as a flotation device so please take it with you as you exit the plane, please hold the cushion firmly and kick paddle, kick paddle, kick paddle until you reach shore. You my keep the cushion as a thank you gift for flying Virgin Atlantic Airlines.
  5. Congrats Larry before you know it you'll be an astronaut /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif
  6. Does a 6.0L equipped truck have the power and ground feeds directly from the battery like the CAT and CUMMINGS trucks do? If so check the wiring where there tie strapped to the standoffs in front of the battery box where they wrap under the frame for crushed wires. Unfortunately the truck salesman had a hardon for CAT motors so I think we only sold 1 F-650 with a 6.0L so I don't know if the wirings the same. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
  7. 08C02 takes longer to hook up IDS and start a session than to reprogram the RCM IDS must have R 53.7 or later
  8. I don't remember what my score was the last time I took it but it was good enough to place me 4th in the online test, I finished my regional comp in 2nd place. The guy that took first came in second in the national comp so I guess I did ok.
  9. You can't beat the deal on the F-150 Larry 0% finance for 5 years right now. and if you get a F-150 we will let you keep your man card.

  13. I haven't been able to take it for a few years because I was a NY regional finalist in 2005. So I had to look over the shoulder of one of my guys to see the new test. I wish I could at least take the practice exam just to keep up on the info.

  16. We have participated in this program for a few years now and I'm presently on my fifth AYES intern student, three of them worked out well and are working in the automotive field I have one working in the dealership presently P/T and one was a total waste of time.
  17. I know it's weird for a dealership, but we have a lot of real good customers that bring us everything they have for anything it needs no matter what the brand or vintage. It's nice sometimes to have a bit of change in the routine, plus the personal satisfaction of knowing that someone trusts you so fully to leave you with something like a 66 Shelby that's essentially irreplaceable and saying "do whatever YOU THINK it needs and call me whenever it's done".
  18. I just remembered that the last time I did a Taurus head I found out the hard way that the crank trigger wheel has two keyway notches in it so look at it before you throw it back together. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smhair.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/drinkingdude.gif

  21. Well I never thought of using vacuum on the tip like that,I guess I had the idea that combustion/cyl pressure was bypassing the tip and airating the fuel so pressure was my choice but no reason that wouldn't work also. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
  22. Ditto, but thats really about the only thing that I can recall going wrong.
  23. One of my customers has a collection of old cars mostly fords including one of my favorites, a 66 Shelby GT 350 with real racing history that I work on regularly. right now I have his 1950 Chevy deluxe at the shop for a brake job.
