  1. Please DO IT!!! Better yet, one of him wearing a soggy wet diaper too.
  2. Just curious. Has anyone been able to price out this kit yet? I just checked a couple of days ago. The "kit" as it's described, prices out at about $5300 with no core charge here in Canada.
  3. F-550s don't come with 6.2s, only 6.7s and 6.8L V10s. Only the F-250/F-350 trucks came with 6.2s.
  4. WOW THAT HAS TO BE THE BIGGEST WASTE OF A NICE MACHINE!!!! About the IDS though, I think thieves were pretty ballsy and smart to figure out the use of a factory scan tool. It will be interesting to see what they get, when they get caught.
  5. WHERE ...... did the rest of the exhaust valve end up?
  6. I have a good 6.4L cam and a good set of roller lifters in my possession if the guy is cheap enough that he doesn't want to pay full coin for a new set.
  7. Have anyone of you fine gents ever come across this? Apparently, this particular engine has 'been into' several times by various different guys all throughout the U.S. and three HPOPs later and here we are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68fzutsckbw Does anyone have a part number for that fitting by any chance?
  8. That's how my apprenticeship went with a brand X dealership, until I quit the same week after I wrote my license and fired up resumes with every Ford store in my neck of the woods. I went from doing just mainly oil changes, while the 'other guys' got the gravy, to slugging engines and cylinder heads on trucks upon my first foot into the door of a Ford store after getting licensed. A Ford TRUCK store at that. I guess getting all the 'shit at the bottom of the pile' is what got me used to doing engines and diesels, and all the other work that no one wants to do.
  9. DOES .... HE .... LOOK .... LIKE .... A .... BITCH?
  10. My God, how the hell did that car not end up getting written off?
  11. I always hold the door open for anyone, be that man or woman, older or younger than myself. And yes, I would stand up to let an elderly person have my seat if I were in a place where the situation arose.
  12. The big difference between the Edge and Fusion is the use of studs instead of bolts to secure the subframe, along with extremely tight clearances on the Fusion. I think if it were a 3.0L or 2.5L it likely would've been much easier.
  13. Those guys that drive those "Port-A-Potty" trucks. I hear they have to take a lot of shit with their work.
  14. That picture looks like one out of an MKX/Edge. I've done many of those without near the amount of headaches as I appear to be having with this MKZ (same as a Fusion). Space is THAT much tighter.
  15. NOT ME. I get the apprentice to disconnect it and then clean up the mess they make.
  16. I have been waitlisted for 39S01T0 since July 3rd, 2013.
  17. Okay guys, I have a 2010 Lincoln MKZ in, that was diagnosed as needing the right phaser replaced by one of our gas driveability guys. It gets shipped to me for the repair. During disassembly, I noticed it also has a water pump leak. Since it's covered as well, it's a no brainer as to whether or not to replace while being "in there". To give you guys a better understanding, this vehicle requires the powertrain to be dropped to replace either. Here is the issue I'm now faced with. What do I claim for the repair? Do I claim 6256AR 9.7 and 6256AZL 0.2 for a whopping 9.9 hours? Or do I claim 8501A 11.3 and 8501AZL 0.2 for 11.5? Can I claim the water pump labour ops since it pays more, which is what I'm doing but the way the line is written up, pertains to an engine driveability issue NOT a water pump leak. And YES it does say it in red font DO NOT USE WITH 8501A if claiming 6256A and vice versa. This job sucks big hairy donkey balls and I don't feel like going back in twice.
  18. A little off topic, but another tech in the shop ended up with the fuel tank falling off a transmission jack and gasoline going everywhere while the tank swung around dangling by the filler neck like a pendulum. He was in the middle of doing a 13S04 recall on a '13 Fusion.
  19. Funny to read this. I just literally saw our apprentice doing an oil change on one, on the floor with the oil draining everywhere else but inside the drain bucket.
