  1. I have an 09 f-350 with 54 km Harley, turbo noisey and oil coming out the tail pipe, the turbo has failed but why? so I called hotline and they told me that they have see a couple of these "Steve, We have seen this concern a few times. The most common cause is the banjo bolt for the oil feed line did not have enough holes drilled into it. There should be four holes (a drill bit from one direction makes to holes and turn the bolt 90 degrees another two holes)" has anyone run into this befor? and are there other things that can block oil flow to the trubos?
  2. un bolt the motor mounts and put a stand under the crank pulley, lift the engine up un bolt the pan and the oil pickup and it should come right out
  3. does it have a vmac set up on it,I had one that did some funny things,it would turn it's self on and bypass all the fail safes and ramp up the rpm by itself, they took it to where they had the vmac installed and all that shop did was installed a new harness for the pedal? but that fixed it, I have seen non ford idle up kits do odd things too
  4. well I could not do it and just as well the push rod was bent,I don't think there is any easy repair on this diesel, still on the 6.4 learning curve
  5. cam followers like to go for sit downs,we have see a couple in are shop

  9. sounds like my shop, there are techs at my shop who try hard and do good work, they want to get the repeat business, but all it takes is the one that does not care for whatever reason, in the end it makes our job alot harder then it has be
  10. we had one that had a glow plug problem, the customer bought a used 6.4 and then drove it to Alberta and then broke down there,I had one turck with water contamination and one the other day that got 4 jugs of washer fliud in the tank(there is something funny going on with this one), blue washer fliud looks funny when its mixed up with diesel fuel
  11. I wounder if you can claim 07-23-24 for oil in coolant and then claim 08-23-1 to clean the system? I like how they have pictures
  12. wow! I like it. can't wait till they put that 6.2 in the mustang
  13. you should also look into getting Orthodics, back pain starts with your feet, also don't cheap out on your work boots,a good pair goes along way! hope this helps
  14. roush has this update for the pcm for canadian supercharged truck's becuase of fuel quality,we sent the pcm for this update and now the truck runs like shit, they have told me there is nothing wrong with there update(at this time). they don't want me to replaced the plugs but they want me to set the gap to 30 thou. I have ordered a gapping tool from steeda but other people have told me that they just bend them back,so far I have done nothing becuse roush does not want to pay(and I don't think the cust should pay) and the sm is more worried about who is going to pay the rental car for the cust, I feel sorry for the cust and I think the hole situation sucks,I will try and gap the plugs and see what happens,Alex have you see factory plugs fix pining in a supercharged truck? or did you use an aftermarket plug with a different heat rang? sorry if I did not fully explain my problem
  15. I have to re gap spark plugs "as per roush" on a 2006 f-150 supercharged truck, has anyone done this without the use of a gapping tool? or is it best to get this tool?
  16. I have replaced 3 of them for puffing black smoke,I did that tsb for crap in the tail pipe and could not find anything on all 3 of them, just replaced the filter and they are fix so far
  17. I don't know why but my pcm showed up today, that was to fast to be from the USA but anyhow, installed and road tested 20 km,pcm fixed it thanks for all the input
  18. ya I used the wrong pinpoint test, went thru it again and there about the same but only till you get to the pcm conectors, everything passes, load tested the oss circuits, because we are so busy(out of work by 10:00 am) I took off the rear tail off and inspected the trigger wheel,it looks good,I have a pcm on order but it is b/o usa with no stock so it will be at leat a week till I see it,thank for the info!
  19. remove the torque converter,re install the trans and see if your noise goes away, that way you can rule out any kind of trans noise, just thinking out loud
  20. it has c1237,the truck now gets its rear speed from oss sensor in trans, gone thru the pinpoint test d,found a ground loose on the stud on the left wheel well, still comes back,my oss and my vss will jump all over the place, has anyone run into this,I am just going to start to load test circuits if you have any tips or info that would be cool
  21. have not removed and inspected,I have a short block coming and it is going to be awa,I think it will look like Bruno's engine, the whole crank moves alot
  22. slow hear in winnipeg, I think most of the dealers hear are the same
  23. what I thought would be a sweet icp and connector job went to a rear main oil leak,so I put the truck in the air and inspected, pulled that rubber piece out of the trans and out came about six litres of oil,ok this is different so I pulled the trans out and inspected to see what is going on,it looks like the seal let go so I go to remove it and the crankshaft moves alot, I get a dial gauge on it and it moves about 75 thou. How is this thing even running with that kind of play in the crankshaft? any one come across this? oh, and hear is the kicker, it only has 55000 km(34177mile)
  24. nice, where did the right side head go? thru the hood? nothing money wont fix right
