  1. Just did one, "Drive To Clean Exhaust Filter" comes up in the display. I try and drive it, it turns CEL on and displays Limited Engine Power. Won't manually regen due to p246c and p2426(i think, can't remember) that won't clear Warmline says put a cat and a DPF on it. Had 'em next day. Fixed the issue. KOER DPF PSI was .56PSI (idle) good unit is .21PSI.
  2. Lots of hanger bearings. Guy across the shop from me just put a motor in one for a "bedplate" leak
  3. Call the tech hotline and see what they have to say about heads on a truck with a tuner on it.
  4. Well, if he is going to keep the tuner, and not take you up on the offer to make the thing live, you might as well make him an appointment for another 3 weeks from now to put another set of heads on it.
  5. Here's another good idea, bad idea! Good Idea: Chirping Rex. Bad Idea: Chirping the foreman at your shop. Thus ends another lesson of Good Idea, Bad Idea for today.
  6. Hey, where did my post go about the warranty coverage? In the Warranty Administration tab on your Ford site, there is a Change Of Warranty Status form you can print out. Under Reason, check off Abuse/Misuse and for Reason put "Aftermarket Programmer, non EPA approved."
  7. <beavis> heheheheheh yeah...that was COOL </beavis>
  8. But make sure we use a powerstroke truck. We'll throw some ICPR's and ICPS's at him, just for good measure.
  9. He said I just poured oil in the connector. I'm so hurt
  10. "Don't put it out with your boots, Rex!" "Aww shut up DEVIL WOMAN!"
  11. You guys busy up there Ernie? -40 eh? It was about 17© here last week. Are you guys having any DPF problems (not up at Diavik, I mean in town) with them plugging up? Shoot me a message on here if you've got a sec and let me know.
  12. 12,500 I thought on the max for the 6.4 oil change interval? Since my owner's manual is still carefully wrapped in it's original packaging....
  13. I was gonna go take a poop on his porch.
  14. Customer refused studs? Is this a truck he's planning on keeping, along with the tuner in it? Is this a retail job or warranty?
  15. What happens if your hands are wet, and you've grounded your forearm to the cowl or the LF fender while you're leaning on it? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzt! First thing that popped into my mind is the harness issue, also.
  16. Fifty....six...kilometers....
  17. Make sure they ain't warped. Make sure you put studs in it while it's apart.
  18. Do you have to submit the records to Ford, or just view them at your store? I think you fellers know where I'm headed.... LOL
  19. I got my beefy cap next day, Toronto (BRM) warehouse has stock.
  20. I just about peed the armchair when I watched that. Even the missus approves.
  21. Compression pressure will FAR exceed cooling system pressure holding capability, especially if the cap is working right. Hell, truck with that tuner on it will likely make BOOST ONLY enough pressure to blow the cap. With NO compression pressure added. Same reason why when an oil cooler goes for a poop, you get oil in the coolant more so than you do coolant in the oil. Pressure flows high to low.
  22. *IMPACT NOISE* RAPRAPRAPRAPRAPRAP. Tech Voiceover: "Click!"
  23. I put the updated cap on one I just did heads on, and MAN does that mother ever click when it's tight. Sounds STOUT when it clicks...that's probably the only upgrade. "It clicks louder, therefore it must be better." I will agree with it looking beefed up though. And with that tuner, I am still betting heads/gaskets.
  24. At 60 hours a pop, two guys could crank a fuckload of those out in a week, tag-teaming them. Holy shit... I betcha two guys could do one a day. Look at how long it takes to get a 6.0 cab off! Then just swap drivetrain over (NO time at all) and the box.
  25. Bell Canada does it too, they use your STARS ID number. The bell plan SUCKS though.
