Quick way do diagnose those is to go into data logger and view the pid with the sensor unplugged. If it reads 5 volts when unplugged the rest of the system is good and the sensor is bad. Most times they are intermittent and the light will go out on it's own.

Replaced a lot of those Mike. I'm surprised this is your first one. Probably have 3 trucks running around waiting for parts to come in too. They always seems to go on back order.

Currently I don't know or care what's in my bay. Chaperoning my son's last year of high school band camp. I'll take this view over my bay any time.

I have never used the clips, why not just put a harness on? I bet the terminals are spread on the old one. I just did a 01 today Pin fit was ok and the harnesses were a couple of days away.

2001 F450 7.3L, needs clips for the under valve cover harnesses.

I've had a couple that set P2457 KOER with no issues. Same as you, no P0401, cooler clean, no CEL. I let them go. Never came back for anything EGR related.

Still pissing around with the 2015 F450 Ambulance. Trying to find some cause for the returning P132B. Has new turbo, no leaks, MAP, BARO & EBP no BIAS. Passes KA every time. MAP changes 7 PSI, above the 6.96 PSI spec. Got the OCR issue figured out(See post in 6.7L section). Got to put on an emergency shutdown valve on it as well. Couldn't get the auction unit to crank over, starter won't engage.

2005 F550 welding rig, waiting on approval for a drop in engine. Waiting on parts for a DEF in fuel, and ran till it ran rough, issue. Not sure why, but the fuel system kits can only be ordered emergency out of US warehouses, we don't stock them here. 2004 F550 picker truck from an auction, needing a complete mechanical and engine evaluation. To kick it all off the starter cuts out before the engine starts.

Clean exhaust message won't go away.

Heads up guys, Ambulance prep F-Series are now able to perform OCR at 30% full. EPA approved and included in latest update. Still not sure why P132B keeps coming back though...PPT KA passed and turbo is quiet again. -
Clean exhaust message won't go away.

So, here we go again. Same issue with the cluster, but now the engineers are sure it's a module logic software issue that's misinterpreting the data wrong. Plus the turbo I put on is noisy now, howls like when they chip off the impeller and sound like a jet engine, and P132B is back. Field service engineer is now involved, he wants me to fix the turbo issue first before he makes an appearance here at the dealership. -
14' engine idled only message
lmorris replied to leavnon3rd's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
You are not missing anything, that procedure is a royal pain in the ass. Run a manual regen on it and it will clear the message. I gave up on the procedure shortly after it was updated. Hotline told me to run the regen when the procedure fails. Now I just run a regen. -
check valve for compression tester

This is what we have in ours. http://ph.parker.com/us/en/valves-check-up-to-3000-psi-dc-series/dc-250-5 -
Worked for me. Thanks Keith.

Apparently the word of a Ford factory trained master technician means squat when compared to someone that is just looking a picture. They also tried to tell us that the cylinder heads for a 6.7L diesel engine come with lifters and rockers already installed...... Update: After doing 2 cost caps, both resulting in a REPLACE decision, by their request, they still asked "Wouldn't a short block and two cylinder heads be more cost effective?" After explaining, for the second time, the engine failure, resulting damage and the fact that lifters, push rods and rocker arms don't come with the cylinder heads, it's now in management review. What's really funny is that I already have the new long block in chassis and should be running today.

Got a 6.7L out of a 2011 F350 on the stand. #6 dead on power balance, #2 and 4 low on relative compression. Multiple contribution codes. Removed the oil filter and it was empty . Was a little tough turning over by hand. Most of the lifters are collapsed. When I drove it in, it was banging and squawking like crazy. Surprised it actually ran long enough to get in the shop.

Gas engines have the TCM as part of the PCM.

I see where you are coming from..It really looks like the chain is attached to his right arm.

6.7L EGR cooler and right exhaust manifold.

Added a turbo seal kit (9T514) to my HPFP harness repair. First time seeing a leak here. Can't fix stupid...

Nothing in front of the air box intake? I had a 7.3L with very similar symptoms that turned out to be a piece of plastic that would block the air inlet horn once you got up to speed. Right exhaust manifold on 2010 F150, 5.4L. Only the rear upper stud broke off in the head and came out nicely with the mig and a stripped bolt remover. Got a 2009 F350 lined up for HPFP cover gasket.

Went through some big update over the weekend and now it won't recognize my wireless dongle. Anyone else run into this issue? Ha..figures, now it does. Nevermind...won't pick up the VCM..POS.. Anybody rolled back to Windows 7 yet? Wonder how long before IDS catches up with the new update?

Blown apart injector return line..again.
lmorris replied to lmorris's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
I found nothing wrong with the system, other than the water in the separator. I put the line back together and so far there has been no issues. I wonder now if the tech took the line apart at that point for ease of installation and never got it back on all the way. -
Aren't we all though..

2015 F350 6.7L-started taking it apart to do oil pan gasket and noticed the stain goes up to the crank pulley as well. Luckily I haven't removed the transmission yet. In the process of getting the balancer off to have a look at the crank seal just to be sure. Removed the last upper oil pan bolt and it fell right out. Silicone hadn't adhered to the block.
