Ordered turbo today thanks for the heads up. My parts guy said the new turbo # did say requires that gasket # so catalogs must have been updated.
-
I had seen your post about that and ordered before taking it apart. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah terrible design. If they can't put together at the factory without tearing it how are we supposed to in vehicle?

Ecoboost injector seal installation?
tonybullitt replied to Matt Saunoras's topic in All Gasoline Engines
I figured out why the 2.7 is harder to put these seals on then the other engines. Its because of area near the arrow. If you put the seal on then try putting sizer on it just pushes the seal up and ruins the seal. The shop manual picture shows the way the other injectors are. -
also did u see the new tsb on these 2.7s 17-0007

finally got all the parts found the problem. has part of that front cover to block seal stuck in headgasket cam feed the vct feed is the big hole in head gasket

2018 F150 3.0L V-6 Power Stroke
tonybullitt replied to Keith Browning's topic in 3.0L Power Stroke ® Diesel Engines
This will be interesting to see a diesel in the f150. Auto start stop in a diesel? -
I am friends with the techs at the Ford dealer about 20 miles from me. It's a small shop and they like to ask my opinion on what they are working on. They don't get along over there and don't help each other at all. This morning I am getting texts from both of them asking about the truck in there stall and telling me how dumb there coworker is.

I have a 2017 for p20e8 also. Passes reductant test but duty cycle is high. I contacted hotline they said try an injector and when it returns then put pump in it.

Customer called insurance company they sent adjuster and inspected. Not sure who is paying but harness showed up this afternoon.
-
Let me guess... under the battery junction box. Yeah, nice little home there for rodents.
-
I also have a 16 explorer sport for under hood harness. The customer purchased in September and I found at least 2 dozen damaged wires from rodents. Pretty impressive damage in short amount of time

Customer supplied arp studs and we ordered Ford gaskets. Thanks for the replies.

I have a 6.7 for exhaust manifolds sitting in my stall for Monday. Machine shop says one head questionable on modified 6.4 for headgaskets. Customer brought in arp headstuds and tub of the arp moly lube. We ordered Ford gaskets.

Valve cover back off and same intake lash adjusters collapsed. I ordered head.
-
Hotline agrees with me that must be restricted to lash adjusters. Said to replace head if same ones collapsed again
