  1. See if u can get a brass bushing the same size as pilot bearing.
  2. Agreed, why would gas radiator not leak if twisting was the problem.
  3. Repaired blower motor switches and wires. Cluster acted up right away found if I wiggled the 26 pin connector I could get it to act up. Of course no connector listed available. Salvage yard said none available also looked in wire pigtail book and one of them looked like it. Had parts get me that one the lever lock is different but the pins and shell inside are the same. I soldered in new pigtail reusing the lever and it worked for a little while then acted up. wiggled connector and can make it come and go. Upon closer inspection found one of the pins shorter then the rest in cluster. ordered cluster. I pulled cluster apart and was able to push pin back into place. The pin pushes back down very easily. It appears someone wasn't straight when they tried plugging it in. Looked in wiring diagrams and pushed in pin is ground.
  4. Today this cluster was inop when I started it up. No communication with cluster by the time I try running network test it is working and passes. I removed trim from around cluster and on e series goes p as st radio. The extra switches door control is a plate screwed to trim. Upon removal I find the rear blower motor switch wires all heat damaged. Closer inspection revealed the heat damaged wires laying on harness to fast idle battery maintainer control pulled open melted conduit and two wires melted together. I pulled them apart test drove 30 miles didn't act up. I am going to repair wires put in new blower switch and see what happens.
  5. I was hearing other guys saying that he was doing stuff like that I said let's catch him. We took brake lathe bits off gave to parts manager. I called Hunter found out how to check alignment machine for history of what had been done printed the report. I compiled the info gave to manager he sent him home that day then next morning said u no longer work here
  6. We had a guy fired at my shop for similar reasons a couple of months ago. Also was on used cars. Where I work used car guy is left alone so can see how a dishonest guy would take advantage. He was saying he was machining rotors and doing alignments.
  7. Thanks, very good ideal. Being an econoline I will look at the wires under drivers sill plate. I have found plenty of communication concerns there. I think was a tsb at one time.
  8. 2008 e450 shuttle bus with wheel chair lift. Customer states ic goes dead. Van sets over voltage and under voltage codes in all modules. There mechanic has replaced batteries and alt no change. A different Ford dealer has replaced cluster and spw it a second time. It hasn't acted up on me yet. It does have aftermarket idle up and aftermarket larger alt. The bus mechanic said with the idle up unhooked has still done it. Any ideals?
  9. I have a used cvt core waiting to go back to salvage yard. The lines came out surprisingly well. I wonder if they would care if that cover is missing?
  10. Actually glad to get a 6.4 for oil growth concern today just to change it up some. But it turns out just normal customer just bought the truck.
  11. Seems like all I have been doing is 6.7 radiators lately. All check engine lites have been ccv sensors.
  12. Here is 11-6-10 I wonder if the newer calibration of pcm is now setting the cyl short code instead of the 1291 or 1292. Also looks like from the tsb just injectors and return hose is all that is needed. Not complete system tsb11-06-10.pdf
  13. From tsb 11-10-10 Some 2011-2012 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P1291 and/or P1292 due to an internally shorted fuel injector. An internal short in a fuel injector may be caused by the fuel being contaminated with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), or by fuel gelling. This is interesting from original tsb 11-6-10 Some F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or before 5/18/2011 may experience diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1291 and/or P1292 due to an internally shorted fuel injector. This concern may be caused by gelled diesel fuel restricting the fuel injector return hose. There is a new fuel injector return hose available which will reduce the occurrence of shorted injectors due to fuel gelling tsb11-10-10.pdf
  14. My understanding is that some times fuel system contamination can cause the piezoelectric material to crack then it causes them to short. When they short out the pcm failure management shuts down the 4. It will take a fuel system to fix.
  15. I am sure I have replaced the coolant line and fittings before. The shopping cart icon is with labor times.
  16. http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/topic/5529-track-bar-ball-joint/?hl=%2Bball+%2Bjoint
  17. I have reused studs with no issue. Just like you said cleaned them up and put arp lube on them.
  18. Just replaced t stats for regen concern. Truck was setting incomplete regen code test drove monitoring pids couldn't get ect over 165. Replaced t stat all ok
  19. mice chewed up the harness on my utility tractor. I had heard of the Honda tape and was wondering if I should be putting on. I decided against getting it. It's expensive and results aren't as good as hoped.
  20. Lincoln mkc trans overhaul. The torque converter is blue. Also 2005 6.0 blown out stc fitting o rings. It had stc fitting replaced and bracket added over 200k miles ago. It's a service truck so I am sure a pile of hours
  21. SSM 46387 - 2017 F-Super Duty - Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) Warning Message Due ToUpfitter Pickup Box Removal Some 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with BLIS that have had the pickup boxremoved for upfitter modification may exhibit a BLIS warning message in the message center. To correct this concern, use Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool version 104.01 or later to configure the BLIS system. These settings can be found under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > warning lamps and chimes and must be adjusted in multiple modules. Details can be found on the truck body builder advisory service (BBAS) website, found by clicking the link at the bottom of the webpage at https://www.fleet.ford.com. Once at BBAS website, click on bulletins, and refer to published qualified vehicle modifier(QVM) bulletin for BLIS warning programming. Changes to BLIS setup as a result of upfitter modifications are non-warrantable.
  22. SSM 46512 - 2017 F-Super Duty – Pickup Only - IPC Turn Signal Indicator Flashes Fast When Pickup Box Removed For Upfitter - No Inoperative Bulbs Some 2017 F-Super Duty pickups may exhibit an instrument panel cluster (IPC) turn signal indicator that flashes fast with no inoperative turn signal lamps after the pickup box has been removed by the upfitter. This may be due to the body control module (BCM) not recognizing the modified lower current turn signal lighting that was installed. To correct this concern, use Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool version 104.04 or later to configure turn lamp outage settings as required. Under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > exterior lighting, select rear bulb turn outage and outage ABM and change the setting on each parameter from outage to no outage. Changes to lamp outage settings on pickups as a result of upfitter modifications are non-warrantable. Upfitters are responsible for FMVSS 108 compliance.
  23. Has anyone ever tried using the Honda 4019 2317 Rodent Tape? Does it work?
  24. I added a arrow where it rubs through. Wow, that heat resistant covering really wears the wires bare. My picture of the wires corroded thru the covering didn't show up so I wont be posting that.
