What hoist do u have?
-
We have 4 18k rotory hoist in this building. Plenty of service trucks I cant lift. But have it made for the most part
-
Bolts came out fine. But it's a 17 with 6k on it and I had put alot of antisieze on when I had them out previously. This one set code for the injector in dpf when I went to replace it threads galled and it locked up so it got a dpf. I noticed trans leak then added dye.

Sounds like they replaced the egr cooler (partially restricted) replacing all egt sensors. Sent dpf out for cleaning and are inspecting DOC. He would buy a scan tool that will work on this to bring with truck to me if reasonable priced and does all we need it to. Any suggestions?

3.2L Transit for leak from front of trans

Can still get e series cutaways. Have several guys trading in transits back in for e series they didn't realize they were still available until I showed them. https://www.ford.com/commercial-trucks/e-series-cutaway/

Thanks, back where I was before need better tool to really diag it.

I wonder if that's what the guys at the shop are doing also chasing wrong code. Is there a way to know what Cummins code ppt I should follow on quickserve?
-
Ok that's what I was afraid of
-
No I don't have access to any different scanner for medium duty. I figured that had to be an error on that pid. I made an account on quickserve.cummins as an owner and it shows fault 3251 as dpf intake temp sensor high. That would make me want to look into the egt sensors based on my experience with ford egt. Would it be worth while to ohm egt when cold. Or without a better medium duty scan tool am I just pissing around. Previously I told him at my end with my limitation on scan tool and info. But with the shops he has working on it throwing parts at it and his frustration I am trying to be helpful.

I will get the esn number. Any ideal what that pid is?

He is having issue with this truck again. He had the engine replaced and they have thrown some parts at it in the last few months. Any advise on this code. My otc encore doesn't have alot of pids but ecu at 3k seems high to me

Reletive Compression 101%
tonybullitt replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
No haven't seen that yet. I had a so called diesel performance shop call and ask me how long after replacing the glow plugs does it usually take to get compression to come back up. They replaced glow plugs with new style and it still sets low contribution codes. I didn't know how to respond to that. -
Itonly works good on stock pickups removing lines with tank. Then any upfit pickup and all cab and chassis that method doesn't work. So that's when I found the disconnect tools. I probably work on 70 percent upfit so leaving lines attached not feasable

Our local ambulance company has a 2013 f450 with the rear leaf springs removed and air ride installed. I was lucky enough to work on it today. After a lot of looking around and calling I was able to find H00700KCH KCA Manual.pdf With this info I found no power to module followed wire and repaired the corroded wire and its back in service.

I used to take the lines out with tank then I bought these and have been removing the lines from tank again https://store.snapon.com/Diesel-Exhaust-Fluid-DEF-Tools-Diesel-Exhaust-Fluid-DEF-Tube-Release-Forks-P886427.aspx

Yeah, I am sure I have before. I just had Rh head off a 12 e350 5.4 in chassis

2014 Focus Unwanted Cranking

That's good to know. Thanks for sharing. All starting issues on that style for me have been ignition switch housings.
