  1. I have had 3 trucks in recently with nox 12 codes inspection finds that the nox sensor harness has rubbed through protection covering and wires underneath are corroded. I have been able to install the new one without the loop that is causing the wire to rub on its self.
  2. Took some cab and chassis lights off and temporarily mounted for truck to be driven to upfitter.
  3. I'm having trouble uploading pictures Got it figured out
  4. planning on replacing just top filters?
  5. I have a road near me with a long curve and it needs new tar I can drive any super duty to fast around curve, hit bump start some oscillation that then goes away when steering wheel is straightened out. A truck with bad death wobble u have to slow to crawl to get under control.
  6. Does this truck have the horrible death wobble that almost breaks your arms and doesn't quit until almost stoped? Or does it have the steering oscillation that starts when going around curve little to fast that quits when wheel is straightened out? Sorry, reread original post and you already stated it.
  7. Just foolish to pay for both filters and only let 1 get changed. I wonder if they had issues with having bottom filter not installed correctly causing issues. My diesel quick lane guy is good. I will let him install with my # on ro. He just got main shop uniforms a raise and we are moving him to a 18k hoist. He is doing so many 450_ 550 rotates and services that he needs 18k more then me. We are adding a tall 12k for my second bay
  8. We have had a several passing thru business trucks pull into quick lane and ask for just engine mounted filter. They charge them for both replace just engine mounted filter and put other one in truck. What's up with this? Anyone know the theory on replacing engine mounted filter more frequently than frame rail filter?
  9. Thanks, changed oil and we will see if it grows excessive.
  10. I have 17 that needs an egt sensor. It's another new part # same issues went into reduced power then wouldn't restart until it cooled off.
  11. I had told customer I could make camera work but might have to cut and splice. Pretty cool to be able to simply plug in and mount camera. Camera bracket is a little cheesy but still awesome available
  12. We have another customer that got a pickup wants box removed for flatbed. Removed box today plugged in this harness no issues. Truck is equipped with reverse camera. I got parts to order in cab and chassis reverse camera kit pluged right into the harness I added when box came off. I will get the camera kit# and picture tomorrow
  13. I told them to change oil make sure to watch hours not just miles and let see what happens. It's a city truck 12743 hours. 127k miles. I have been telling them to change oil by hours not miles for a long time.
  14. I got a fax of the report. Shows 7 percent fuel and viscosity is 8.1 I have never had a report before just went by short stick method. If over full short stick went in looking for internal leaks otherwise said from regen change oil.
  15. I have customer brought in truck. Said way overfull on oil. Short stick it's fine. Service advisor called they had oil tested and the report says excessive amount of fuel. Anyone had this? Will normal regen add enough to cause this?
  16. Did you know? if you send hotline a question about how to proceed with repair on a truck with under 7k miles that just had heads put on at another dealer your fse will call you before hotline responds
  17. I tried putting gasket on backwards but gave up. I found just to easy when it was lined up correctly
  18. This turbo gasket was on engine with under 1k miles since heads installed by other dealer.
  19. I replaced 2 of these 2.7 recently. I removed the cabs to replace them. The cab comes off very quickly. I was able to beat warranty time on both. 1 was for the oil consumption tsb. The other one had recently had heads replaced for oil consumption by another dealer. Cab removal is very straight forward on these. Heater hoses, radiator hoses, a/c lines, connectors on lh fender well, abs module connector, front abs sensors connectors, master cyl, pcm connectors, 4x4 vacuum line. There is also a connector in the front rh side I reached down along side the grille to get at. Also there are 3 pushpins that need to be removed from front bumper I found raising the cab about 2 inches made them easier to get out. As I went back down I put pushpins back in before lowering all the way down. All cac tubes can stay on the engine. I only removed the air cleaner inlet y pipe. I used the ford special service tool for lifting the engine. It clears the intake and lifted very level. If I have one come in for heads under the oil consumption tsb I will remove engine put it on stand to replace heads. I have done heads in chassis and they are doable but this engine came out so quick.
  20. I have had oil cooler gaskets like that a couple times. First one was back before it was a cooler kit. I pulled new oil cooler out of box bolted down came back leaking. Since then I have inspected when putting new gasket in and caught before installing.
  21. All cac tubes can stay with engine to pull cab. Very easy engine to make warranty time on.
