  1. And that's why some dealers are so scared of using m time because they are always returned for more info. Submitting claim again with time punches is extra work they choose not to do.
  2. We visited the warranty claim center and sat for an hour with a claim assessor. The guy I sat with showed me he did claims on same part # all day and would just hit pay on the ones that had no red flags on. If computer program put a red flag on for time he would read story and if it made sense for extra time he would click pay claim. Most didn't have any justification for the claim so he would click return button.
  3. And they choose the returned ones based on red flags that pop up based on how they had claimed the repair.
  4. When I was on the trp we were told a percentage are returned just as a check and balance.Obviously this works in there favor because a percentage never get refilled.
  5. Replaced tank, pump and vent caps on this truck today. The tank being sucked in had put a nice bend in the pump.
  6. I think I should add hose and vent cap like we used to on older ones that got water in them.
  7. Found plastic tank sucked in from dust in vents. Any one else seeing this? What are you doing to repair?
  8. I have had this also. It has to be because when remote started not all modules are powered up.
  9. Not real easy but the only for sure way is to use a boroscope to read them off of the injectors.
  10. Tesla is doing remote diagnosis and sending a tech to swap parts at customers home or work.
  11. Speaking about injector pump diesels. Does anyone have good source for clear hose for diagnosis?
  12. I figured that I will only make my self more valuable by doing the training.
  13. It's official today my dealer is adding Chrysler franchise. I have been asked to get Cummins training done so we can start working on them. Any dual franchise guys have insight on what I have gotten myself into?
  14. The ambulance I had written that post about is still going strong.

  16. Did you check the oil pressure sender? 2.7 like to leak. It's mounted right above rh turbo also. I don't know about your manager but mine would have me repair the oil leak and then take it on long test drive and check oil pressure and see if engine makes noise.
  17. Got this from hotline. Error Code 0x0 851082 means that there is a power or ground issue to the module being programmed. In this case, this means the FICM. It is advised to perform a Loaded Voltage Drop Test on all the power/ground circuits to the FICM to ensure that they can handle the necessary load for proper module operation. Since this concern is related to the FICM, ensure that the dedicated CAN circuits between the PCM and FICM are checked for shorts, opens, and high resistance. These circuits can be found in Wiring Diagram 26-3
  18. I get error 14_0x0 851082 anyone ran into this before
  19. customer brought in rebuilt truck and wants programmed to the vin the chassis and engine is. I keep getting error code on ids when I get to ficm
  20. My next thought is frp sensor and or uvc harness.
  21. Did you have issues with supply and return lines at hpp? I ask because they are good for letting air in especially if it had copper washers originally and u replaced with viton seals.
  22. If the chain is loose it can not be turned backwards it will jump timing. A coworker of mine did the timing chain tsb on a 3.5 f150 never started it up. Proceeds to pull trans to do front pump tsb. While removing torque converter nuts he backed up because he had went to far and it jumped timing. With engine never being run the tensioner wasn't keeping tension on chain. a worn chain could easily do the same.
