Apparently inept techs are capable of putting 2.7 turbo gasket in backwards. This was on the truck I had another dealer just put heads on under 1k miles ago.

Definitely check track bar joint and bushing. Have some one rock the steering while u watch. Aftermarket rims tires? Tires worn out?

I have replaced several. I also put t case input seal in at same time. I have always used the seal installer but being at dealer I have available to me. On the first one I did I broke the spanner socket pins right off. I didn't heat the nut first. That nut is tight and loaded with loctite. (I think Ford has stock in loctite as much as they use) I am pretty sure your seal kit comes with new nut. If not I recommend replacing them together.

How many engine hours will oil last?

We have to pay 15 percent over cost for parts. I have a couple coworkers who do a lot of side work so management raised from 10 to 15 -
I have a 2.7 here another dealer put heads on under 1500 miles ago. It's out of time oil all over pulled valve covers and front cover found the outer crank gear loose on Frank. Pulled off and a gear has obviously spun on it before contacted hotline found out other dealer had fucked up timing and were told to replace engine. Obviously they didn't. Fse calls this morning said fix it properly and run through as warranty they will take care of charging them back. He also told me he had been involved with it when it was there. Found the oil leak to be from a cracked valve cover. Has many broken connectors. Some of the poorest workmanship I have ever seen. Truck has 6200 miles on it. I feel bad for customer been in shop more days then he has had.

I was not sure that the icp was really fluctuating like ids showed. I had done the alt ripple test on both alt and they passed. I still had the feeling could possibly be picking up voltage and not really icp fluctuating. I used the old 7.3 icp sensor test harness (D94T-50-A) this allowed me to see icp voltage live from the sgm and watch pid at same time. As you see this helped me prove icp was actually acting up and I needed to go back under valve covers. On the signal generator monitor you can put a set voltage in or you can just monitor. I used the monitor feature and watched the icp voltage and icp from pcm. I had used the sgm to load test wires before and thought why not try. I think the data rate of sgm is different then pcm. -

Well after a long time and a lot of head scratching I got this one figured out. It got worse and they finally decided they wanted it looked into more. I used signal generator on ids to watch actual icp and pcm interpretation. pulled rh valve cover. New check valve is broken. Not so new anymore I think it's been 2 years since I had put in. -
I thought this fsa was only for in stock units. Am I wrong?

On this truck I connected the ms can wires together and heat shrunk them. They are going to put the harness in on the rest of the trucks they are doing. -

I haven't gotten jumper harness yet but it looks like I could pull pins out of c408 and connect the wires. When not equipped with blis the box harness just loops the ms can wires. -

I put motorcraft struts and shocks in my Taurus x at 120k. When we bought explorer last year we gave the Taurus x to my mother-in-law. I replaced a rear wheel speed sensor and spark plugs last week for her. It now has 198k on it and drives really good yet.

Check near the parking brake pedal. I have found chaffing there. Especially since it probably needs parking brake set to run pto
