Is that you Cetane or just a glory grabber.... Oh yeah like Keith said....

Keith, got no where on finding these for you. Are there any TSB's regarding these? I looked but couldn't seem to find any.

+1 on rebuilding what you have....If not send it to me I have a local carb guy that does a awesome job. Low power???? First thing I would do would be to check the accel. pump, probably is the original leather one. Rochester carbs back in that vintage were notorious for accel. pumps rotting out and causing all kinds of grief. As for helping Bruce with the vette.....Have you ever seen it????Really Really clean!!!!!Don't let him kid you..... My bay which is always full.....Phones are off the hook and getting calls from all over the place. Since the website went live at work it's been a full time job just doing that, let alone the regulars locally.

Keith, I put a couple of feelers out for them. I should hear something tomorrow......

Well Aaron, think of it this way.....The holiday's are coming around. You won't have to walk as far to get into the crowded mall's, or have to walk as far coming out of the "hotels" . You may feel okay but give your back time to heal.

Looks nice, but is still a "SALVAGE" title. They can tell you what ever they want, but is still a JUNK yard rebuild.

Thermoplastic Oil Pan
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Side note....Detroit Series 60 has used plastic pans for years...Real bitch though, the original was replaced and the only way to tell if it is original or new style is the color/colour of the gasket, grey or black. I hope this is a real good design and a new version not needed otherwise it will be a bitch. -

Ding Ding Ding, Give that man a cigar...... My shop is included in this list. Not of my doing but of a gent that shall remain nameless. now mind you Bruce has sold them his manual and has made 2 appearances but still have yet to purchase a IDS. They,(my service side which is seperate from me) still come to me 2-3 times a week to find possible cause of failure. I still look and search to find a direction for them, why? Because I know the customer expects us to fix it. I try to not ask in the forum for these answers but search on my own. I keep preaching the proper tools to do the job, to no avail. I expected Bruce to give me the verbal lashings about the proper tools but have not heard any.(Thanks Bruce). Okay guys, it's your turn if Bruce won't I expect you too...... If not then I thank you...... I believe in the proper tools to do the proper job. I won't touch something in my house if I don't know what I will need and go out to the local home improvement store to do the job properly. Lowes...........Love it.......Kid in a candy store.......Drool........ Bruce on a side note.... You aint old -

My opinion on this is as follows. The dealer invests large amounts of capital into not only the dealership as a whole but also ,Sales,Service and parts. These include sending employees to training on the latest product, whether it be Ford,GM,Chrysler or other. The dealer also supplies the latest tools and information needed to accomplish the jobs at hand. Some dealers will make you sign a agreement not to go to work for anyone in the same field for a period of time, 1 year,2 years or whats agreed upon. The dealer invests this money in you to be able to make a profit for him. It's not difficult to understand, If he wasn't doing this why would he be in business. Employee's also invest in themselves. I have heard everyone here talking about buying this widget or that widget at sometime, hell even building tools that don't exist. I have read everything that has been said and I agree that giving out information that we have earned is something we will share with others, but on a different level than most expect. If we didn't do this we wouldn't be here on the DTS. There would be no need because we would know it all and would have nothing to say. For the most part the "Rex's" of the world are on there own. They CHOSE to be independent from the dealers and should be treated that way. If calling the dealers "Stealers" makes them feel any better than so be it. But in the end they will call for some bit of information at sometime, whether it be service, parts, or even sales. It is up to each and everyone of us to make the decision whether or not to assist them with their needs. I have competitors all over the country and get calls everyday with someone looking for a replacement for a obsolete fan, or fan clutch. I usually have the answer but I won't give them the information, why should I? I work hard to be able to come up with these solutions everyday why shouldn't I make the money for it. Just my -

This sounds like a bearing is going bad somewhere. I have seen that when a alt. bearing is going bad that it will drag on the belt when the alt. engages. Also I think we had a similar situtation quite a while ago and was the alt. mount bracket that was causing belt problems. Being that this is a vehicle with dual alts. this may be somewhere you may want to look at. -
I figure it's better than trying to run it on fast food grease and everything stinking like fries or fish. It was a nice setup. The Hemi sat low in the car. It looked like he took 2 headers and cut them down to about 3 inches tall and mounted them for the intake, used 4 hoses on each side up to the plenum that he custom built with the carbs atop that. Used a piece of diamond plate to cover the valley. I actually found it funny when he popped the trunk and there they were 2 33lb forklift tanks. I asked him where the "forks" were.

Hey guy's, The new season of Monster garage is coming up in Jan. on Discovery channel. They are taping it down here in Southwest Detroit. Some of the guy's involved are customers of ours. They haven't been able to say anything about the show yet. One of the guy's just came by with a Vintage Plymouth 4 dr sedan. Firepower 331 Hemi, Dual Carb, Impco LPG fuel. He said it was putting out about 625HP. Really impressive the way he had it setup. I tried to take pics of it but he wouldn't let me. He said it is going to be on the 11th episode. They said some of the stuff the are building will put Jesse James to shame. We'll see.
