  2. My Horton rep brought a couple of cans of this penetrating lube in for us to try out. When we rebuild the Horton fan clutches the center bolts are usually corroded and a real bugger to get out. So far it has worked real well. I never heard of it, but seems to doing better than the other P/L's that we have used. http://www.spectra-ssa.com/termin8tr.html

  4. Brad I do too. I have helped quite a few good accounts not to mention my own shop being online. Needless to say my access is never questioned because I am always doing work and a few other well deserved connections at the same time and helping at my shop as well. My work requires me being online everyday and every night I get inquiries from all over the world and respond the same day, even on the weekends or nights,( sorry gluton for punishment ).
  5. Nope not funny, but seems odd that a Factory trained tech working in a Ford dealer is pushing a A/M part.
  6. Ah yes the VGT.....But with a twist, no longer a Hi/Low pressure turbo set up but rather a turbo with 2 ( Yes 2 ) compressor wheels, they sit back to back and have a joint housing in common. This should be interesting come turbo cleaning time.
  7. Smoking....Yep that's one I still have been trying to quit. It's a real bitch though. Now doing what you have done for years and years wrenching becomes 2nd nature not a addiction, This my friends is harder than getting Nicotrol or whatever else is out there. . Habits are the worst thing to change.
  8. I would start with a infrared thermometer at the t-stat housing and see what it's reading. Fan clutch could do this but wouldn't it throw a code being a vistronic fan clutch? It had a radiator replaced 6 months ago....Could it have a pocket of air somewhere in the system? Was it filled with the proper coolant and mix? T-stat's have been a issue. Have you checked them? Cavitation? Pump?
  9. Jim have you checked your IE option settings? You may be able to put the DTS as a approved site. I had this problem when I upgraded my security on my PC due to the younguns gettin on some bad sites(porn ETC.) I had to actually list the sites I would have the PC approve.

  13. Keith, the customers states they hear a leak. Can they give you a general area that they are hearing this leak? I would suggest running the truck and getting a full charge of air pressure and giving a good looking at. I think you will find either a valve or possibly a line with a small leak.
