  1. Bruce you may very well be the Leonardo de Vinci of diesel cutaways, very cool.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/readthis.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif
  2. Bruce is definitley the guy to ask this to. He's got some really cool cutaways.
  3. Quote: All I wish is that I knew what I know now 30 years ago.... Yeah but if you did, then you probably wouldn't be where you are.
  4. Bruce are you going to play with this one so that we can have the "ALL GREAT KNOWLEDGE" from you?
  5. Bruno, thats cool. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gifI think thats strong that you guys have that kind of dealer to respect you guys back in the shop to work on all of this classic muscle. Just remember Grampy Jim is always there and all of us too, if you need any help.
  6. This is just some of the things that make the dealers look bad...When customers bring them in they expect to pay more but at the same time, get the best parts and service. Makes our jobs really tough,(Wait a minute I think I said this before...).
  7. Maybe they got them from Mexico,or China...Just don't touch them they may be filled with lead based plastic.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
  8. Quote: (recently sold out to Caterpillar, but still in the ITEC reman business) Are you telling me that Cat is doing the re-builds on these turbos? If they are they are doing a piss poor job as to the amount of sticking problems we are seeing. The bad thing about this is that these are Garrett turbos and are only releasing them to the OE's. We have a very good reputation on our rebuilds and have not seen the comebacks(my turbo rebuild guys back in the shop have been with us for years and are very good at what they do)that Ford has had, what kind of answer is beat on the turbo for a while??? I will try to get a hold of Franklin, and let you guys know what I come up with. Thanks Guys!!!!
  9. I volunteer, pick me,pick me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif I would love to see some of these new trucks and some of the older ones, and help out any way I can. Not to mention the sunny beaches and babes are a plus /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif Just checked out the specs on the Truck, very impressive to say the least. I love the interior, the dash board rocks!!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif
  10. Well somebody needs to inform the FAD's and the dealers if it is a new #. Could it possibly only be available on a auto-ship from Ford for this recall?
  11. Yeah I'm sorry too Keith, but I thought my post was quite Diplomatic. I don't try to belittle anybody, if I did I'm sorry. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
  12. Keith Motorcraft doesn't list that grease, could it be discontinued?
  13. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gifJim I have looked extensively, with no avail. What I did come up with is: XG-6 Silicone heat transfer compound XG-3A Brake grease and Dielectric XG-12 Electrical grease http://www.fcsdchemicalsandlubricants.com/supplier/category.asp?select=%5BGreases%5D Unless this is something new???? I just called my motorcraft rep and he is going to check on it. Stay tuned...
  14. Bruce you are correct on this and it does come with the D-ring and clip. Alliant Power just came out with these. Over the counter $10.32.
  15. No a combo of blue and red, in other words Burgundy....OUCH!!!
  16. You rock /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gifWrong color /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif, And I'm not talkin bout the nuts /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif
  17. Got em hangin off the Saturns rear view mirror right now, pisses off the ol' lady everyday.
  18. I'll check it out in the AM and post the results tomorrow.
  19. Well talked to Garrett today, and still they won't release the parts to me yet, but still working on it. It has to be killing Ford having to charge the dealers $593.00+ dollars for a CHRA that isn't worth a shit. We came across a bunch of good core to use for parts but its running out pretty quick. So far have had good luck with the rebuilds but without parts we can't do it. Anybody got core to sell?
  20. James your a rotten little bugger you are... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gifLove it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif...Keep up the good work!!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
  21. Okay guys your from all over the U.S. and Canada. I have helped out with this one for 6 years now. Check it out if you can help please do. I have offered to donate a Turbocharger out my own pocket for this years car build. Forgotten Harvest is a really cool charity and helps a lot of people in the city. http://stonesoup.wcsx.com/
  22. Well with oil hitting a all time high, over $107.00 a barrel today. This may give the Veggie oil guys some room to talk. You might see more guys switching over to the bio/used oil programs more now being the fact that I have seen Diesel on the way home for anywhere between $3.98 and $4.30 a gallon.
  23. Aaron have him call me, I'll try to hook him up with the Ford goodies.
  24. Okay guys me and wifey have been going back and forth on this. Here is what we came up with, going to test drive and probably buy tomorrow. 2004 Ram 2500, 4WD, Quad cab, Lariat, Hemi, Burgundy with Silver rockers. Only 60K miles. Is this a manly enough truck to keep my man card? Can't afford a Diesel with prices going above the $4.00 mark here in Michigan. Sorry Bruce, you know what I mean.
  25. Jim don't have access to that bulletin anymore, can you post it? Maybe I can help....
