6.0L NEED HELP NO POWER
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to jared_bortel's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Rule #1: If the customers wants the performance of a VETTE, go get one... Rule #2: Refer to #1 and tell him have a nice day(all the while smiling) Kill him with kindness, Really pisses them off. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif -
I agree with everyone...I was taught as a young pup not quite as long as Jim but a while ago...And I quote from somebody near and dear to me, MY FATHER. Quote: A Drivers license is not something earned but a priviledge, respect the machine that is the deadliest weapon you will ever come in contact with. NUFF SAID

Yeah the Lift pumps suck on these trucks, Definitly change it out before you get to deep into it. These trucks have a problem that if the lift pump goes bad that it starves the injection pump and burns it out also. Just make sure you have good fuel supply all the time. We sell a Fuel pressure kit for just that reason.

The Dodges have been plagued as the Fords have with a weak link the Transmissions, Be careful if you do pick one up, or be ready to rebuild or buy a trans.

I guess it goes to show, pricing is different in different markets, I would think that it would be a little closer.

Are you going to post a video of this race, my money is on the 7.3. We all know what the 6.0 will do or not do(probably break). Any takers?

Silly question from a customer re 7.3-6.9 swap
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to BrunoWilimek's topic in General Diesel Engines
Bruno, today I laid out 2 intakes side by side, it looks like they are the same between the 6.9 and 7.3 IDI. My bad but didn't grab the #'s off of them. Will look at them monday and let you know for sure. I believe that the early IDI's are pretty close to each other, other than the bore, correct me if I'm wrong( I know Jim will ). By the way Bruce is suffering from SOMETIMERS -
new CHRA binding
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to eastendpowerstroke's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Yeah Garrett still has not released the parts to me. I check OE connection today and very few dealers have them, mostly Reviva and some of the Distributors but not many dealers. For me to buy them from Ford not cost effective(@ $585.00), but I do have a lot of core and can rebuild them for less. As for the piston ring we are working on that right now. We have a guy that works on ambulances and has been sending them to us for rebuild, he's been real happy with them so far. We are looking for more core...Any out there??? We can probably work with most of you guys on rebuilding them $ wise and still give a better Warranty. -
Have you guys seen the car????I know Jim's post has it too but check it out. Can you say Focus???? http://www.tiscali.co.uk/motoring/diesel/diesel_fordfiestast.html

Before long you will have to be wearing white coveralls, booties and surgical gloves, not to mention be grounded to something just to be able to touch them. I think you just had a wool sweater on before you pulled the truck in and charged it. Was your hair standing up with static electricity? As for Keiths reply, and I quote...(Scottie) Captain I'm giving it everything she's got....

Silly question from a customer re 7.3-6.9 swap
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to BrunoWilimek's topic in General Diesel Engines
The 6.9 and 7.3 IDI do use the same gasket, but I'm not sure if the intake is the same. The customer should check the #'s on the manifold and lay them side by side to be sure. -
Just seen this one. http://www.clickondetroit.com/automotive/15514548/detail.html

Josh, I sent you a P/M to be careful how you come across to all of us here on the DTS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/notworthy.gif You did not listen to me, sorry for you. We all enjoy interacting with one another and sharing info. It makes all of our lives and jobs a little easier to deal with. I'm personally tired of dealing with the little jabs back and forth. If you can participate and be a constructive member here cool, but if not just stay out of the posts and read them the way many people do. Don't get me wrong I think that you would be a great addition here but keep in mind that all of us here are here because we do this with Ford for a living. We don't make money unless we are productive and solve the everyday problems, it's bad enough that the Manufacturers keep changing the rules day to day, but add in the A/M and it gets to the point where most of these guys don't want to talk to the A/M companies. The end users have become accustomed to trying to hide the fact that they have the programmers or anything else on there trucks for fear of voiding a warranty because of a A/M related failure. If you ask these guys that are here, if they know what they are dealing with, most and I can say with confidence that most will push thru a warranty for a good honest customer that informs the dealer of the fact of a A/M part on the truck. The ones that lie to them, shame on them. Most do lie about it. All that I ask is be part of the solution and not the problem. Thanks /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

What makes you come up with this diag? Seen it before? -
How many miles on the engine? Any signs of carbon, like combustion blow by or contamination? Could be domino effect in the system. Or could just be time to replace the set.

These trucks were meant to do work, not Nascar. They are meant to pull a car to the track not go on the track. If you want a truck to go fast buy a Lightning and hop it up. Just please use the Superduty to pull it.(What it was meant for) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif

LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to snw blue by you's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Be sure to get names and times that you call. We had one that took 3 tries to get the right harness, Ford fought with us when we went to return the wrong harness's. -

I guess Jose,Gaudalupi, or Enrique will be responsible for this Fubar. They might get charged back 10-15 cents on their hourly wage of 50 cents a hour. -
I thought it was "Triple Dong Status" But yes again GYM is right... It is a status thing for these over-indulgent wieners.
