  1. Dave, it is entirely possible that the P0299 is set before the engine has reached normal operating temp and still produce an over boost once its warmed up, had a E450 do that last week and the VVT test did show a passing result. As for the wrench light on in the dash, I would assume it has the latest calibration update and thats why it flagged the wrench light. As Keith pointed out about the ICP codes... check the history on it and then proceed checking the Hi-press oil system for leaks.
  2. Thrust bearing?? dunno what else to say Mike....
  3. Just had the same thing on an 06 Expedition, 90,000kms or so... right chain guide had about an inch or so broken off and forcing the chain into the backside of the trigger wheel.
  4. Brent will be teaching, I would think...

Better keep a well stocked supply of that ole bedroom grease handy, judging from whats being released lately...... we're going to need it.
  6. Care to explain how this can be done?
  7. Maybe ........ but then again maybe not
  8. I can believe it, I used to work for a company that treated all the techs like they could be replaced by someone right off the street and for mininum wage..... we all left and they tried that. Company went under within 2 years.
  9. Looks like this needs a bump to keep the votes going
  10. Yeah I see it everyday, I have one guy that wanders around telling people that they're doing it all wrong, and in reality he can't fix anything on his own....
  11. Same here, but on the other hand I was actually able to vote more then once from home by using a couple different email addresses
  12. Time to revive this thread I think.... Keith your sig. has to be the best and by far the truest I have ever read.... The wife and I had words. I didn't get to use mine! Thats priceless Best part is .. that my other half agrees
  13. Depends..... You use it lately BTW voted as well
  14. So can anyone shed some light on why the 5th wheel hitch is mounted backwards in the 3rd picture down on the first page???
  15. See it everyday lately, the scrap haulers seem to get away with all sorts of things like that. Usually the junk on the trailers is in better shape then the clunker they're towing it with.
  16. Looks like they had a good turn out again this year, I was hoping to make it over but the "honey do" list made short work of that.....
  17. Not that you'ld notice, looks like they're not going to enforce it
  18. I get 14-18mpg empty and towing a 32ft 5th wheel that tips the scales at or about 10,000lbs loaded I average about 11-12 travelling 60-70mph on a recent vacation to Niagara Falls with an 06 350 crewcab dually w/4:10s so depending on his driving style and the weight of the boat I'd say 5 might be low but who's to say.
  19. Sorry to hear that Larry, If you need help with anything on this side, just ask and we'll see what we can do.
