  1. Thanks guys and Bruce thats exactly what I expect to find "if" the customer returns for further diag.
  2. A 2003 F350 rolls in today and the customer tells me he's got oil in the coolant bottle so I figure a 6.0 with a blown cooler but walk out to look see and it's a 7.3 so I figure either I have a failed gasket or a cooler but figured I'd see if anyone has had this and what was the cause.
  3. I've run into it once, the little stud at the back of the intake that is supposed to hold the harness. The clip wasn't installed during a previous repair and wore through on the heat shield, causing the wires to short after awhile. Might be a place to start anyways.
  4. Yeah my old back don't like bending over pulling those bolts 90x3.
  5. Doing one that way right now, and yep remove the heater box and that'll make life a lot easier... well as much as it can be. Thats about it, I tear the front coolers out of the way but thats a personal preference.
  6. Now you say you have 55PSI but what kind of volume are you getting and have you done a restriction test?
  7. Thats the best one I've seen in a long long time
  8. And here I was gonna ask you for a copy of those recovery disks .......
  9. Any other hints an what we might find in this new beast

  11. Thats exactly the reason I haven't been tossing the old coolers out, I had a feeling something like this was coming and started setting the coolers aside last summer. If I need a cover I have one.
  12. I think it'll be more like when the 08's were introduced in Dec 06 - Jan 07
  13. Yeah, I caught that as well..... figuring it'll be another cab off design judging by those connectors.
  14. Our Mac guy strongly advises not to get their version of it because it's been really buggy, crashing, locking up and just plain failing.... and would recommend staying with the Mentor or the Matco version or even the Genisys because of the support available both now and in the future. I'd love to have all the factory toys too but ........ $$$$$$$
  15. I haven't done one in a long time, but thats the way I used to break them loose.
  16. Nice..... notice the "large" trailer it's used to tow. I like those trucks alot but usually from a distance because I don't know of any good reason to actually own such a beast. Ohhhhhh wait maybe to to my fishing boat to the lake
  17. Personally I think that would be a great idea, I know at least a dozen people that would be in favor of having such an option. Wonder if they could run it through the tow/haul switch just to make it easier to run the 2 calibrations like the TCM does.
  18. Perfect... glad to see something good happened today. I almost thought you either gave up on it or took the day off
  19. Bleeding voltage may be possible but Mike's overlayed both circuits direct from the IDM to the injector which to me rules that out.
