    Delete your IDS session and start over with the UVC harness flipped over and see what you get.

    That I can't tell you, but what I would do in this case if you still have the cover off is lay another injector down there and plug it in and run the buzz test to see what the results are.

    As strange as it seems it was a new out of the box injector that was setting the code... it was about 3 weeks old, thats why it was confusing the hell outta me, and it did stop the engine from starting... for no reason that I could make any sense of, who knows anymore.

    Mike, I had like this awhile back and it ended up being a shorted injector...even though it tested good with a meter, kinda had me running in circles just like you seem to be now. I ended up unpluging the suspect injector and retesting it to make sure it "seen" the open just to be sure I wasn't overlooking something.

    Usually good advice but it's a hard sell to most customers, especially lately... it seems everyone wants to spend a little as possible and expect it to run like a brand new unit.

    I do believe the kit, which includes the tube, boots,and clamps runs about $140.00 Can dollars.

    Yeah, you and me both considering most can't fix a 6.0 ... imagine what it's gonna be like like these hit the indy shops

    Also once you have heard what a fuel knock sounds like, you will never forget it... sounds almost like 2 large hammers being hit together. Bruce brought up a very good point about the injectors overfueling to the point of hydrolock. Both engines I had like that had at least one injector hung wide open and dumping fuel.

    Thanks Guys, thats the one I was looking for. I didn't realize it was a customer satisfaction program. Dwayne, you hit the nail on the head with what I had in mind for my 06. I hate that stupid plastic POS, like you said Mike it should have never been released.....

    There used to be a TSB about an updated cold side CAC tube on the 05 and up 6.0 but I can't find it anymore. Does someone remember the part # or the TSB number?

    Ahhhh yes I forgot about that one, we had one just before Christmas that had the "Maintenance Free" program applied.... and yep abotu 35,000 was the magic number

    Funny you should mention that, I broke mine off this weekend in one, so I'm in the same boat. Looks like I'll be pulling the head as well

    I'm kinda jealous there Jim, one thing I always wanted to go drive for awhile but the family always discouraged me from doing it.

    The earlier models with a manual transmission had some flywheel and syncro issues, the very odd headgasket oil leak on the V6 but other then whats already been mentioned they're a really solid car.

    Yes it could, Aaron and I had one that would do that at will by opening and closing the EGR valve with the engine running.

    Runs fine on Vista as well, I have Vista Ultimate on my laptop and it actually runs quite well.
