  1. Nothing chaps my ass more than when customers intentionally leave out information about past repairs, usually because they are too embarrassed to admit they tried to do it themselves and didn't do it correctly. I hope you charged this guy for all the time you had into it.
  2. If you follow the actual flush procedure in the WSM it is quite labor intensive. I performed it once according to the WSM and have never done it again since. If it's a maintenance flush I will drain the primary system, fill with water, run, drain, repeat, then fill with 14L straight coolant and top up with water. If you get creative with the hose you can flush out the secondary system in a matter of 20 minutes. All said and done 2 hours.
  3. Got it. After a few google searches I found the company that wrote the program. They had an un-installer, but it only removed the shortcuts. After a few more searches I found out all that's needed is to go into processes and stop the program from running then delete the FLEXnet folder. A quick couple of registry cleaner runs and all is good.
  4. Tried "cleanIDS", it's still there. If I do a factory reset, which will take me back to Windows 8, I think, maybe 7, will I still be able to get the free upgrade to 10?
  5. Last 2 I had with that code ended up getting PCM's.
  6. Thanks. I may still have the program on my laptop. I though it was obsolete since they added the uninstall option to IDS awhile ago. Never thought to use it.
  7. My laptop is no longer needed for work and I have been removing all the Ford IDS/PTS software from it. Only thing I can't seem to get rid of is the Software Update program for IDS. There is no un-install option available. I have found the folder with the short cut destination file, but I just don't like going into my "C" drive and removing folders. I also have some big programs installed that I would have to re-install if I use a restore point, If it's still there that is. I also don't want to do a complete system restore because I may not get Windows 10 back. Any ideas?
  8. They're still trying to find me stock parts to get my 6.2L 2012 Focus TCM I notice that DEF tank heaters are once again back ordered. Need one for a 2016 F350 with only 6000 KM. Hasn't even had it's first oil change yet.
  9. Removing the supercharger from a 2014 F150 with a 6.2L and putting it back to stock, when you have none of the original parts, is a royal pain.
  10. It was a V6. It also has an oil pan leak, but the customer doesn't want to spend the 6 hours to replace the gasket just yet. Also have a steering rack on a 2011 F150 that intermittently jams up, along with both lower ball joints. 2010 F150 5.4L Timing chain guide in pieces. Getting all new timing components and pans getting dropped to retrieve the rest of the guide. 2014 F150 getting a retail 6.2 long block. Cab lift because of the Roush supercharger. Metal went through the supercharger as well. Found #2 wrist pin sitting on the skid plate. Having issues uploading pictures. I took a picture looking through the hole in the block, you can see the bottom of the cylinder head, turns out #6 was the one that grenaded. The intake valve is in the pan, along with the piston. The truck is being put back to stock and traded in.
  11. I have seen a 6L and a 6.4L that have been filled with DEF at local truck stops with DEF pumps.
  12. PTU on a 2013 Explorer, non-turbo. Front crank seal on a 2008 Pontiac G6
  13. Looks to me like he can't find the filler cap to figure out what oil goes in it.
  14. Yes. They moved it from the EGR cooler because the cooler is no longer part of the secondary system.
  15. 3.5L Ecoboost timing chain and all the attaching goodies. Also my first.
  16. 7.3l water pump Def tank heater on a 2015.
  17. Just traded in. Needs a bit of work to get back to stock. It's the real deal. One of 282 1984 GT 350's 302 HO 5SPD convertibles.
  18. Water pump and cooling system service on a 2012 F150 5L.
  19. Parts should pay attention to what they put back into stock. This is the new tank they had for me....it's worse then the one in the vehicle.
  20. Clutch pedal and front strut on a 15 Fiesta. Front and rear brakes, 4 TPMS sensor on a 13 F150. Got an Edge coming in for a fuel tank tomorrow.
