  1. Just heard they had emergency call last night and my ambulance started stumbled ran rough then was good. So I am going to get estimate on the fuel line orings and rubber return lines.
  2. Thanks giving estimate on filter per ppt. See what happens. Tony
  3. Did you ever figure this one out? I have a truck 86055 miles setting the stand alone p2459 can find nothing wrong. Thanks Tony
  4. I put clear hose in fuel filter vent line to fuel return line like the diag sheet showed. Let sit and started stumbled and ran like crap. I checked the hose and sure enough full of air. inspected fuel lines from tank to engine and inj return lines no concern found. The only thing i seen was a little weapage from lift pump told customer i would like to replace lift pump. Put lift pump in and upon removal got alot of fuel oil out of the weap hole. Test drove let sit and no air in my clear line. Its back at fire station and they will let me know if we need to dig further. Thanks for the help. Tony

  7. Hi I have a way before my time ambulance here. The concern is at times will start fine then stall. Very hard restart after stall. If it doesnt stall it runs great and after it starts runs great. Any suggestions I have very little inj pump experience. Thanks Tony
  8. I didn't understand this aftertreatment system having both the fuel vaporizer and scr system. So I was reading thru the pc/ed description and operation. It states the fuel vaporizer is there to heat up exhaust and regenerate filter. The scr is to reduce NOx. The only difference to a 6.7 I see is instead of injecting on exhaust stroke we have a fuel vaporizer to inject fuel for heat needed. Wonder why the need for fuel vaporizer instead of injecting on exhaust stroke? Because of it being a 5cyl? Because of exhaust valve issues on 6.7?
  9. I think the worn rocker tips cause the bridge to push valves to the side and wears the guide abnormally.
  10. Worn out rocker arms are normal on 6.4s. Seems like evey one I have valve cover off of are worn out. I agree with Brad see if valves move. We had a truck come thru dealer that broke rocker arm valve stuck and seen in warranty history that the other head was just replaced for same concern the month prior like 1500 miles before.
  11. I have a buddy at the next dealer over and he also convinced his boss he needs the class. An email to the teacher at the twin cities training center and we will be in class together. That is when he is able to schedule it they havent gotten him a van or material yet. Its nice to go with someone to class its about a two hour drive to training center.
  12. I got my manager to put in a request today for the transit new model training classroom. I told him only way to get any training on new diesel engine. I dont think there was any chance I could go to a new model training otherwise.
  13. That is another nice write up. Do you have that much time on your hands or just enjoy doing them?

  19. I wonder why replacing exhaust valves in left cyl head fixes this concern.
