  1. I really wanna know wtf Ford is thinking with this recall. No additions at all. No m-time at all. You break a bleeder it’s the customer’s problem.
  2. I found a Snap-on magnetic light wedged in between the core support and the body mount once on an 08 F350 from a local concrete company. I called their mechanic. He said he lost it over a year ago and it still worked once I charged it.
  3. Are you guys checking for excessive crankcase pressure when you do them? I had one come back less than 10k later and it was worse than before. I popped the oil cap off with it running and there was enough pressure there that it went pop when I did.
  4. I did this a couple of years ago on a gas motor in one. I replaced the motor and forgot to transfer the tone ring. I think I had an hour into installing it and i never even took the trans crossmember out.
  5. We got our first one. Drove it this morning. Not sold on the one pedal drive. But wow is it fast as heck off the line. Lots and lots of stuff to mess with on the big touch screen too.
  6. Ah. I understand now. I was assuming it was an external light.
  7. Can you just tap into the output circuit that would go to the pto clutch?
  8. Good luck to you. I hope everything works out well.
  9. Interesting. I would guess that it’s something to help keep the filter warm so that it don’t get plugged tight.
  10. I found out that Pro Logix makes the Mac charger. The local Napa had them on sale for $100. So I bought one from them.
  11. What is it? Other than a backordered Ford part.
  12. I am thinking about buying or trying to get my shop to buy a new battery charger/power maintainer for programming modules. Our 2 battery chargers we do have in the shop have seen better days. What is everyone else using? Or is there a mode in the battery charger/tester that Ford makes us have that I am no aware of?
  13. No idea. Only used their hub puller. Which is the cats ass for explorers.
  14. So pretty much it’s gonna be considered normal by Ford?
  15. That is on the vms software. I did not make it. If you open it and click on waveform library there is one for a 6.2. I’m assuming the top 2 are cam sensors and the bottom one is crank.
  16. I signed up last night. Didn’t say nothing about facebook. Nor does the flyer on fmcdealer.
  17. There’s a replaceable element???? Would be nice if they would tell us about this. We ordered the whole box. I guess I’ll look at it closer when I take it apart.
  18. I have a 17 F550 that I resealed the upper oil pan and rear main back in May came back leaking again today. It’s pouring out of the left side of the upper oil pan. Just for giggles I opened the oil cap with it running. I turned the cap the 1/4 turn and left it sit in the hole. As soon as I let go of it the pressure in the crankcase pushed the cap up with enough force I thought it was gonna hit the hood. We ordered a crankcase oil separator for it along with all the crap to do the upper oil pan over.
  19. I got one that still makes some noise with them unplugged. It changed when I unplugged it but didn’t go completely away. We ordered exhaust phasers and solenoids for it.
  20. Are the teeth or holes visible when it is fully assembled?
  21. Pumping the system out and refilling it seems to fix it for a short period of time. The one we had here the guy runs all over the country and he went down south with it after we evacuated and recharged it before we put the receiver drier in it. He said it worked perfectly for the 2 weeks he was gone. I’m not trying to irritate anyone. I’m only trying to help figure out what the actual issue is so that we can all fix vehicles more efficiently and effectively. (I have used information from this site to help diagnose and fix more than a few vehicles over the years.) I’m sorry but the stuck ttx valve theory doesn’t make sense to me. And it seems to be more than just the new body style superdutys that have this issue. I’ve seen very similar issues on 13ish f150’s and the 2010ish escapes. The escapes there is a tsb that says the receiver drier. We have pumped several of them down and refilled them. They will be fine for about 1 season and then come back with the same thing whereas the ones that get a receiver drier never come back.
  22. Did the vcm2 react as expected? Lights on, beep as normal? Does the ids see the vcm? Wireless or wired connection? We’ve destroyed a handful of usb cables but never had a problem with the vehicle cable.
