  1. They could have "lost" a measly little ol' million dollars over at my house while they were at it, jeez.
  2. Well I did live about 4 hours from the border for a decade, I took a test to become an honorary member of the great White North over on my motorcycle forum, and I have had one too many conversations with Aaron (fuckall).
  3. I saw a documentary on Walmart a couple of years ago and one of the many problems associated with the store was the fact that the parking lot was very unsafe for shoppers. I had no idea what they were talking about, as I lived in the serene utopia of Vermont. I then moved to Greenville NC and was promptly informed by the locals not to go to Walmart after dark. There are lots of gang initiations and just plain ol random senseless acts of violence on innocent shoppers there.
  4. Canada eh? What side of the road do you guys drive on?
  5. Well this one was easy enough. The driver came over today and asked what I had found and I told him that I hadn't gotta chance to look at it yet. He starts talking about how everything is happening at once, it needs front brakes, the A/C quit working, it won't start, ect. I was like the A/C doesn't work? So I stroll over to the truck and pop the belt off and varooom she fires right up!
  6. I have yet to replace one with voltage converter issues, but have had a few complete replacements that wouldn't drive an individual injector.
  7. 2003 standard cab F-550 rollback (202" wheelbase). This is our tow truck and it stays in the wind quite regularly. It was used to drop a car off around 2 PM Friday and then parked never to start again. I was called over to the body shop, where it resides across the street from the dealer, to check it out. It was turning over at about 50 revs with 2 jump boxes on it. I went back across the street to get an amp clamp and verified the starter was cooked, pulling about 500 amps. I crawled under it and replaced the starter in the parking lot and got some good R's out of it but still no start. This thing sounds like injectors running on negative fuel pressure but multiplied by 10. You know the clackity sound you get when the cylinders start dropping off from combustion gas getting in the fuel rail. So I pull the secondary fuel filter and have plenty of fuel. Then I get the IDS and find I have everything but Sync. The more the engine spins the deeper it sounds that something has let go. Clackity clackity clack! It's very odd, the driver swears it was running fine earlier. So I will get it into my bay tomorrow and dig in a little deeper to this no start, wish me luck.
  8. I took a look at this tank and the fill on the left has a flapper valve in it that a strong cough good open. The smaller tube to the right of that extends about 8 inches into the tank and has a shuttle type valve in it, and the tiny tube on the far right is open all the time to the atmosphere.
  9. Got my first one today: That's sulfur booster in there.
  10. Good to hear it's fixed. How much did that thing weigh?
  11. Ah yes that pic is showing a bent rod, underneath that piston. The red arrow shows the proper amount of protrusion whilst the green arrow shows the piston being flush with the deck, which is no good!
  12. Four truck racks would get my motoring runnin'
  13. Thanks a million!! I guess this thing is a 7 disc changer
  14. I got a nav unit that says error, clean disc and retry kinda message. Anybody know where there is a map disc in one of these things, it's gotta 6 disc changer and that's all that I know of.
  15. A common area of concern for fuel pump driver module issues is the wiring rubbing thru on the left front fender liner. This topic touches on it: http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=40325#Post40325
