  1. Amen. In my dad's line of business....he found out that ever since the companies that make the industrial appliances went over seas, that the jap crap is failing like crazy. He's changed 4 of the same part's one right after another until he got one that worked, one time. I sat there in awe when i was with him. Just said...well...what are you going to do. He talked to the owners and they said they can't afford to stay afloat paying the union workers. More work for my dad, but at what cost. Part's that would normally last 2-5 year's wont make it 6-8months. He can't stand the parts made in china, thats why his work vehicle is filled with 10 of every part he needs. LoL.
  2. Now that's a quality birthday. Happy B-day Keith.
  3. They said that the 6x6 is going to aruba.. I wouldn't mind going there to be their personal mechanic. I will just bring a bunch of engine harness's and fuel filters.
  4. At DamageInc's dealership...they did that to one of my buddies (hes a tech) new F150 a while back. Too funny.
  5. Haha....You got that right. The past year ive done a 180 and cited with the customer, and thought to myself...what if this was my truck and they told me what i'm about to tell them. Ford's bullcrap is getting old and I will do anything to help the customer out. They are the one's that keep us open, they are the ones that keep Ford alive. More and more customer's thank me for helping them out and going the extra mile. Remember, Happy customer's tell their friend's about their good service experience. Back to the topic.... I haven't had any trouble getting them out if I use my torch. I usually heat it up a little, then try...then heat more...then try...then heat more...until it finally comes loose.

  7. This all goes back to Ford shitty W.I.F. design. Wouldn't you think that since they beat over our head's so much about quality fuel that they would design a WAY better sensor /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/icon_crazy.gif. They have a fricken sensor for Every little thing on this engine. I think they should come out with a recall and give us a better sensor. IMHO.
  8. Yea, I can't wait...going on vacation in 2 days. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
  9. LoL, it's not as bad as i thought. I remember working on a mining truck one time..i hit the trigger on my 1/2'' impact and had 10lbs of white dust engulf me and my bay. That was funny. I
  10. It's in commercial food equipment repair. Basically industrial/commercial appliances(fryers, ovens, grills, etc etc) and slight refrigeration. His backround is he used to work for a company that did this and hated how guy's took advantage of being hourly and they just didnt care so he started his own business, A & R Diagnostic Service. He is getting busier and busier now since everyone is trying to save money, and he lowered his service call rate because he's making a crazy load on part's and is still half as cheap as his competitors. What's turning this from becoming a BIG company in chicago is he can't find quality people that wont take advantage of the hourly system. He had a fleet of workers but customer complained about how slow they were and their attitudes so he fired eveyone (3years ago)and has been doing it himself. When my dad goes on vacation...his customer's wait. They WILL NOT call anyon else. Last I checked he has 1500 dedicated account's and X amount of here and there calls. He want's to expand to Florida because my uncle is down there and he hates winters LoL. So we'll see what happens. The stuff is easy, you have 4 part's that can fail in a fryer/grill/over. It's easy stuff and theres big money in it. He's been going after me for year's because he know's my work ethic but I wanted to try my own path.....but now the path has come to a fork in the road and i'm choosing the route with a GPS. LoL. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rockon.gif
  11. Thank's Guy's. Andy and Rob are both good guy's....just a lil stressed with how the industry is going. ( I guess ). But hopefully with my dad's plans....his business will turn into a franchise. That would be the best case sceonario.
  12. Today I gave my my manager notice that Jan. 2nd is my last day. It's just time to move on(and the dealership turned into a beautyshop drama factory). I had an awesome time working on trucks, meeting interesting people, aquireing bonds with customers and learning life lessons. The business is turning sour and you can see it in eveyones eyes. I finally gave into my dad's countless offers to leave the business and make at least twice as much with less stress and easier work with him. I'll get to take vacations whenever I want, work whenever I want, the perks of taking over his business. Plus I get to be my own boss and deal with everything myself. If something happens to him, he has no one to hand the company over to so here is where I stand. I hope the best to all you guy's. Keith, can you keep my account alive so I can check up with you guys and see how everything is going. You guy's have a rough road ahead of yourselves and i know you'll get through it. Tony H. Merry Christmas to all of you and a happy new year. On edit: I'll be celebrating christmas in the carribean with the girlfriend. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif
  13. Please for the love of God please invite him... LoL
  14. Jim is probably on overload right now with all the mis-information this guy is giving out. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/popcorn.gif
  15. Can i start the first video? I think this should be a group effort. I think we should just have a youtube video of us sitting watching his clips and just laughing our asses off.
  16. Ummm I think i'm going to start creating youtube video's that bash him. PLESE PLEASE watch the 6.4 video and pay attention to how he describes the turbo and how it works when he grabs the VGT actuator. And I Quote " This is the part that makes it all go....the servo that decides which turbo get's how much" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/boink3.gif
  17. i was reading an article about it "is it even worth it" was the title. Said it pollutes like crazy.
  18. I dont even know if thats the correct term, but what do the canuuks think about the oil in sand (brainfart cant think of word). I read a article that they use steam to bring up the oil, and it's really bad for the environment? But it supplies a shitload of oil?
  19. <----forgot about the bolts over the axle....thought there was 10 not 12 /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hahaha.gif
  20. If you think its a FICM make sure that when the truck is running tap on the FICM relay. I've had a couple that kicked my ass and i tapped the ficm relay and walla the truck stalled. Found poor connections.
  21. All you need is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/flamethrower.gif
  22. Tony. (not Toni). Keith, i think if you do it the way you wan't nothing will happen. I bet you nothing bad will happen like they tell us.
  23. Blah the procedure. I've seen aftermarket shops do this shit not even knowing the procedure, and they have no failed once after 10K on the job. I think the exhaust "MUST DO PROCEDURE OR IT WILL FAIL" warning is a load of balonie. I will though follow it cuz i dont wanna do the job twice.
